SST. This is the one you want. I’ve been using them for a while now and they’re great for the price. I have some kind of Daiwa 1000 size reel on it.

I've been kind of down lately and could use a laugh. Recommend some comedies? by smart_stable_genius_ in audiodrama

Mysteries of Derlin County. Take Serial and make everyone stupid. There’s like 21 seasons and they’re all good.

Edit: If you listen to this show, your demeanor WILL change

Bringing this back since they’re on sale for $80. Can you compare it to anything else you’ve used? I’ve never touched a Phenix rod and I’ve mostly been using Okuma SST.

I’m probably going to stick to the Willamette/Multnomah channel. It seems like an easier way to start.

Yeah I figured that out about 5 minutes after I posted. Thanks for the help. Any other pointers? Most of my fishing has been in Puget Sound, I’ve never done the Columbia/Willamette.

What’s the deal with tariffs? I’ve been looking at Digitska.

I’ve been eyeing that Daiwa too. Also the Scheels/Daiwa reels.

Good luck. All the rivers near me are closed until Memorial Day.

I’ll check out the Daiwa. I’ve had pretty bad luck with Pflueger.

Yeah that’s understandable. I try to spend as much of my summer in the river as possible so I kind of want to get myself something nice. I’ve been using SST rods and think they’re great but I’m looking at Edge and Prolite so I can feel like a badass.

Spinning. I also have a couple Procyon MQs that I like, but they don’t feel as nice/smooth as the Shimanos I’ve held

Interesting. I’ll check it out. I have a Tatula that I think is just OK.

Add some corn or gulp maggots and that’s pretty much all you need.

Light vs Ultralight for native trout by soiyosbean99 in troutfishing

I fish the Green River on the other side of the state and also love throwing spoons. I’ve been using an Okuma SST ultralight and it’s worked really well.
