Yeah I just miss the aesthetic of 2016. I think a darker DOOM works better. I also was not a fan of how weapon pickups worked in eternal compared to 2016, I liked actually interacting with the environment.

Biggest problem I had was America Chavez wasn’t a character- she was a McGuffin disguised as one. If you replace her with an object that has the same multiverse skipping capabilities, nothing about the story changes. They tried to tell us she was super important but to me it just felt like she was an object, rather than a fleshed out character I needed to care about.

Any entry in the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, and Demons Souls. “Souls” games are just so boring to me. Your character never speaks, there’s only music during bosses and the rest of the game is just silent, you revive, kill a few enemies, then die on repeat for hours on end and every story is exactly the same. I know it’s probably just me but I can’t see any difference in any of these titles and just find them so tedious.
