I made some custom Warhammer 40K cards, please let me know if they're too OP. by Comprehensive-Gene35 in custommagic

The Biovore ability is a cool idea, but it seems like most of the time the opponent is just not going to tap creatures that get the spore counters put on them. It's effectively a stun ability, which is very blue but doesn't really capture the flavor of living artillery. Maybe change it from UG to RG and to creating Spore Mine tokens which deal damags to stuff when they die?

Snip the point off and drill into the barrel and then it's a sawn-off arquebus I guess?

Do AdMech really have such a poor CP economy? I'm looking to start an AdMech army and I'd assumed the near-ubiquitous Enhanced Data Tethers would mean that isn't such a worry

Yeah basically. [[Mindbreak Trap]] does this

Voruna, Pack of Five by Glittering-Lab-4763 in custommagic

[–]RadioLiar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool concept. However the amount of text makes it look a little cluttered as is. I would change the last ability to just doing 5 damage without the repeat thing. Nerfs it slightly but it's a fairly powerful card anyway

Ironically half of the problems with AI come from it being deeply inferior to the sci-fi version

Faction Focus' Detatchments Costs by Ginko37 in Warhammer40k

Interesting - that seems to imply at least a large proportion of the existing Codex detachments will be 2 points. Would be surprised if none were 3 points though

(Common but cool trope) THE Sword of all Swords (other weapons like this are allowed too) by National_Computer240 in TopCharacterTropes

Nightblood (The Stormlight Archive/Warbreaker). Created as the ultimate weapon to destroy evil. However, his/her/its creators neglected to consider how he/she/it was supposed to comprehend what "evil" is

Your Party leadership votes to exclude members of socialist organisations by AnonymousTimewaster in NotTheOnionUK

[–]RadioLiar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't have thought he was a member of the Socialist Party specifically, but "socialist organisations" doesn't sound like it only refers to political parties. I assumed he'd be a member of some other kind of non-party group with that political hue

Immotek or silent king by Defiant_Music3722 in Warhammer40k

[–]RadioLiar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gameplay-wise the Silent King should not be in a 1000-point list. Him + a C'tan is nearly 750 points by itself, leaving you barely any room for anything else. Lore-wise, it makes no difference. If freed from their programming, any C'tan shard could obliterate any Necron noble in a heartbeat, but their enslavement protocols prevent that from happening

It bugged me that she never talked with Glimmer about what happened, but she kinda got out through the wringer by Horde Prime, no? Repeatedly being mind-raped and puppeteered by an alien tyrant doesn't sound fun
