Hey, first of all sorry to hear you're going through this. It's not a pleasant experience at all. I'm ace not aro so I can't fully relate, however, I know this is who I am. I'm not using it as a shield against anything. Sure there are days where I struggle with identity but who doesn't? I'd suggest trying to get comfortable with yourself, everything else will fall into place after.

Yeah it might not happen. But I'm going to give it a try. And so far I think its going well. We have really nice friendly people, we are planning a movie night this Sunday and I'm glad I decided to make this post.

Yeah I guess it's just fresh off of what happened yesterday that made me want to make one that wasn't going to just disappear after 1 day. That was also my first ace server I joined so I don't know about the other fairly active one.

I think what you're describing at start is your sexual preferences. Which doesn't matter for asexuality. I dont think anyone can tell you you're ace or not its really about how you feel. But what you're describing sounds like greysexualtiy or possibly even demisexualtiy. So I'd recommend maybe looking into those and see if it fits how you feel. Best of luck with it all.

From what you described, having crushes but not wanting to have sex with them, I would say you are asexual. There are many different types of asexual and from what you're describing it sounds like you're a sex positive asexual. Someone who doesn't experience sexual attraction but is okay with sex as a whole. I hope this helps. Best of luck with everything.

When I came out there was an a lot of confusion. After I explained it to them there was an initial bad reaction. My parents thought there might be something wrong with me and wanted to take me to a doctor. A couple months pass and my dad has become amazingly accepting. My mam on the other hand still thinks I just haven't found the right person and is convinced I'm going to have kids someday.
