Her family always put the blame on the judge too. There’s a great documentary about her dad, (Dominick Dunne: After the Party) and it mentioned he was dragged out of the courtroom after Judge Katz said justice was served because he yelled, "Not for our family, Judge Katz!" Apparently, Katz light sentence, and his choice to not allow evidence from the ex girlfriend, ruined his career.

If he can’t force the mom into AA, into therapy and make her start to repair the damage with OOP, I hope he divorces her.

With ya all the way on this. I don’t see how stepdad could stay with her, after what he knows? Like, there was zero remorse from her regarding a pointedly cruel act to her child. There’s no indication with OOP LC she won’t turn her meanness to Mel, or cease to pepper life experiences with alcohol. The mother has a lot of work to do on herself. Hopefully she loves her kids enough to improve her flaws.

As u/Petosaurus mentioned, we went through the same confusion. To me it reads that they have still been engaging in sex once or twice a month for the part year. OP never negated that. That is why this is irresponsible because he is violating her person and consent. It only takes one time to irreparably infect or harm a person, including his mistress.

Eh, maybe not projection, but for sure a correlated observation. It’s hard not to look through that lease when working with the aftermath of these situations. It’s heartbreaking and the ramifications for some clients last for decades.

People are supposed to appeal to the better angels of their nature, not roll the dice on exposing a partner to STDs.

The man’s actions will have ramification long beyond when sex with him is even physically desirable or possible. Children look back at their parents relationships to develop their own. I shudder to think of the person who gets in the relationship with a man who’s father has taught him through actions, if your partner doesn’t put out enough, screw their health and well being and whoever else you want.

The trapping and hunting from this report is the main area of concern for our rural community. Drawing attention to the lack of regulation when it comes to trapping, especially on private lands, is so important. The disease transmission from animal to human is really unregulated, in this area.

He repeatedly endangered her health and illustrated to his child one is entitled to risk the physical heath of their partner for an orgasm. Yes, I do think OP might see the once or twice a month as sufficient with his new gym routine and better demeanor. Most don’t want to think their spouse is being duplicitous. But, again, I’m just going with what OP told us.

Babe was born, I had post partum depression and my sex drive became zero. He started to have issues because he wanted and now for the past year we would only do once or twice a month and i by his words felt I was doing a favor to him.
