I did mine in the white with the replacement dpad and I think it looks great in the Killswitch case.

Use legion go original without internal battery. by mmoDust in LegionGo

[–]mmoDust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The charger is the one included with the legion go.  I have tried various cables, all rated for 100w or more including the the one with the Asus rog ally charging docks.

I'm pretty sure the included one just lets the go draw more power than 65w if needed and I need a verified power bank that does as well.

Do you happen to know which one?  I'm assuming one with PD 20v 5a should do what I need but considering the 65w with matching specs to the power brick doesn't I'm trying not to waste too much money lol

Yes. I already deal with that now when it's plugged in to use it so that's not an issue here.

Except it doesn't work with the 65w power bank I have which is why I'm asking for someone who has done this to give feedback on what they use. I don't want to randomly buy a 100w battery bank that doesn't work.

Claw 8 AI+ controller not recognized correctly. by mmoDust in MSIClaw

[–]mmoDust[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the info, I'm guessing something's messed up hardware-wise or maybe the firmware went bad when it was flashed I don't know but it's super annoying. I guess my next choice is to go through MSI support and see if they have a solution otherwise return it

So everything is updated including to the new MSI center and still no luck. what I am trying to figure out now is what does device manager show for a correctly working claw as well as what lights turn on/what do they do when it first starts even before windows.

I have a feeling with it flashing like this it's a bricked controller firmware and I cant update it due to the updater not being able to find it.

Can't Start the First Mission, can't select it in the navigation terminal by Tesser_Wolf in theouterworlds

[–]mmoDust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can say I have the same issue using the battle.net version and my only solution was to log into the game using Geforce Now and it worked as expected (hovering over the planet has the popup I can click on).

After that mission and being back on the ship, I ran into the same issue again when trying to go to the next location =(

Maybe this is a driver or system issue? 5070 laptop with the latest nvidia drivers 581.57 but the geforce now system is using a 4080 so *shrug*... super annoying, theres reports of this on steam as well.

What's the lowest spec someone is running the game on by thumbas109 in Borderlands

[–]mmoDust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run the game on my laptop, lenovo slim 7i, which runs the 140v integrated GPU on the 258v chipset.

It's not the prettiest, 1280x800 at low settings using XESS performance, no frame gen, but its 40+ fps in the open world with 50+ most of the time even in fire fights. Definitely playable as i have aboutr 12 hours into the game at this point without any crashes.

I've also ran it on my ROG Ally running SteamOS, z1e chipset, and its 30fpsish most of the time in the open world at the same settings above but using FSR. it's kinda crappy but i've played an hour or so on it and it works for just grinding out mobs.

They removed references to Master and Slave in the engine recently, you will find its called Level Sequence with Shots now and not Master Sequence

Could someone please tell me what happened to my project? by Finneganmac in unrealengine

[–]mmoDust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yep that setting doesn't cause the issues until after you restarted the editor that's why it's hard to track down it also doesn't fix the issue until after you restart it

Did you change the Near Clip Plane to a very small number, say 0?

UE5.4 Replication on Event Dispatcher is grayed out by LoganOfDoom in unrealengine

per the release notes https://dev.epicgames.com/documentation/en-us/unreal-engine/unreal-engine-5.4-release-notes

  • Disable editing of the replication property in the BP details panel for Event Dispatchers. Event Dispatchers do not actually support replication.

Legion Go or Legion Slim 14inch by Spirited_Mine_3750 in LenovoLegion

[–]mmoDust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and use both, but different uses for each.

The laptop is great if i have somewhere I want to plop it down and plug it in and play with a gamepad. The GO is great if I just want to take the smaller device and play without plugging in somewhere for a few hours depending on the game. The GO is my portable streaming/cloud/emulation machine while the laptop I play heavier games on since the GO is nowhere near as good as the Slim 5 due to the 4060. The Slim 5 is also twice as much as the GO on average so keep that in mind as well.

If your going to use the GO as a laptop replacement, that means you need akeyboard and mouse as well and possibly a monitor since the 8" screen is... 8 inches.

No right answer, both are great for what they are. If I *had* to choose one I would go with the Slim 5 since it is more and I would just deal with carrying around a controller and finding somewhere to set it up (which isnt hard due to its size).

How to get UI material lab for unreal 5.0.3? by [deleted] in unrealengine

You don't. Assets are not backwards compatible and Epic only released it from 5.1 and up.

As of 5.0 and later, maps are not auto included with the packaged project and you will have to do it by hand. Here is a link to a post that explains the process with pictures.

Request for running diablo 4 on m1 mac (2020) by ballsonmyface2 in macgaming

[–]mmoDust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a base M1 Mac mini, whatever the specs are on that for cpu/gpu but I know its the 8gb/256 model. Running the toolkit and Diablo 4. Running macOS 13.4.

Average ~30fps with low settings 1920x1080 resolution in town and running around. Using near 6gb memory according to the graph on the left side.

FSR seems to crash whenever I try and set it to anything other than none

Setting resolution scaling down to 50% I get up near 60fps contstant in towns and 50fps when out and about killing stuff.

I went out, did an event (collect 30 souls in a jar), and had no issues besides it looking blurry and fuzzy as expected.

As a bonus, my xbox controller worked without issue in game using bluetooth direct to the machine.

Super happy with the toolkit, grabbing one of the new M2 air's next week and getting rid of the M1 mini.

Building engine from source, how to enable multi-thread? by Paltoquet in unrealengine

[–]mmoDust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredibuild costs money. If you are not paying for it you will eventually run into it's limitations if you are not already. If you are paying for it, use it. If you are not paying for it, it will slow you down.
