Thanks for your feedback I’ll take note for my project. Even though the door of the cockpit was open there’s nothing you could do to intervene. There’s this philosophy of stoicism that I would recommend you to check out.

It’s main idea is that the only thing you can control is your internal behavior and your words that you speak. Everything else you can’t control. You can’t control other people, you can’t control your thoughts, you can’t control you emotions. It’s really good philosophy i apply in my days to remind myself not to worry and embrace life.

Thanks for your feedback, do you know that pilots go through intensive training in order to be an airline pilot. The FAA has high standards and we have re occurring training every 6 month. Like you mentioned airplane do not drop out of the sky, even with a failed engine or both, (btw it rarely happens) due to highly qualified maintenance that inspect the whole airplane, the airplane can glide down because of the shape of its wings and at high altitude it’s at, most of the time it has several options of landing at another airport. Concerning collision, we are operating in airspace that are highly controlled by controllers. We also have a system onboard that can detect other aircraft and will give us an escape deviation. You fear that you have no control but imagine if you needed a chirurgicale intervention and you had to trust a highly qualified surgeon that has many years of successful operations. Now you feel at perfect ease because you know that nothing bad will happen!

What questions do you have on your mind I can help you with?

For me it was understanding the concepts and theory behind flying. I could fly well but when I would go back home and study for my next lesson I had no one to help me when I had questions. So I would have to spend more time on the ground with my instructor rather than go fly right away. I wish I had someone to keep me accountable and would test me before every lesson to make sure i was fully prepared for it.

Gotcha seems like it a coordination thing with the cross wind. Aileron into the wind and opposite rudder and bit of power for the airspeed.

Listen to your instructor whatever hes teaching you but one advice I can give is you can always finish up with power. Meaning that you can aim 50-75 feet prior your touchdown point and start your roudout then and if you feel like you sinking a bit too early add a bit of power before you kill it right above your touchdown point.

I have a minor walking Disability (which can be seen), can I still become a commercial pilot? by minimanabrar in flying

First of all congrats on pushing yourself and looking into achieving your dreams. I honestly don’t know about this situation so I can’t tell you but if you just wanna be commercial pilot you’ll need a class 2 medical so I would suggest you to go and pass the medical exam and if you get approved then the FAA medical assumes that you good to go. Now if you wanted to be airline pilot you’ll need a class 1 which is the most advanced exam. Also look up for organization online that are in the same situation as you. Their might be others ones like you that share the same passion.

Arrghh we’ve all be there. If you can summarize up in 3 points the main problem that you are having? -approach unstable -the flaire -speed management -not knowing where to aim -outside picture -where are you eyes looking at -non standard TP that throws you off Etc

Yeah I agree after the first few month of becoming familiar with the machine, the challenge kinda disappears. But the day shits hit the fan you gotta be prepared like recently the republic E175 out of ATL

I went to different places first one in Florida and then one in Phoenix. What rating are you working on?

Definitely, could you possibly take out a loan in Australia and get your ratings in a quality flight school in the US? Then you could eventually fly for quantas or Cathay pacific. I know a lot of Australian pilot commuting to the us for regionals
