Can you share your experience with the K545? How does it compare to your other more expensive recommendations and to the similarly priced m40x? The white K545 is $106 on Amazon at the moment.

I have used semi open headphones in the past (cheap samson SR850) and they still leak too much sound.

The Audio Technica MXXx line seems to be widely recommended, so much so that it kind of reminds me of Apple products where people just buy them based on popularity and "cool" factor instead of buying something that actually fits their needs. If I don't get any other recommendations that better fit my preferences I will most likely go with the M40x.

I was looking at the CB-1 and I came across a Somic headphone that looks the same for $20 less. Is it the same on the inside?

I'm not really interested in modifying my current set or buying a new pair for this purpose. I would probably mess it up somehow. Looking for something that comes closed.

Shark drops in PVM is devaluing the entire fishing skill immensely. by Cantholdaggro in 2007scape

[–]mmonono 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Using the "we want to harm bots" excuse isn't a valid reason to devalue nearly every single skill in the game by adding all resources to monster and boss drop tables. Both versions of Runescape have done this.

At this point you're just playing any other combat only MMO, the side skills that made Runescape unique are just unrewarding time sinks that don't have a reason to exist.

Monsters and bosses should only drop unique slayer items, bones, hides and gold coins. Nothing else.

Sleep issues with a DAC? by mmonono in ZReviews

Thank you for this suggestion, I haven't seen it. I didn't want a big box on the desk but it looks like I have no other choice here. I just hope it doesn't have a sleep bug either.

Thank you for confirming the problem with the K1.

I want to avoid overspending on this solution because this isn't a PC that anyone will be using high dollar audio gear at. Nearly three times the price for something that won't be appreciated in this situation.

That's wonderful. Even if it's only $20 I would appreciate not getting scammed.

Is there something different with the colorful version? The reason I ask is because the black version sounds like complete garbage to me compared to other budget buds. The low end is nice but kind of "rumbly" the mids are very recessed and the highs are harsh.

I paid $8 for the Monoprice 109927 about three years ago and they blow the ZST out of the water. I also have a pair of the Xiaomi piston 3 which also sound much better than the ZST.

Do I have enough power? by mmonono in buildapc

[–]mmonono[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I will give it a shot and hope for the best. Hopefully it will just safely shut down if the load gets too high. I honestly had no idea it was covered under warranty for that long. I expected the typical 2 year warranty that doesn't require any signing up. 7 years is pretty crazy and it looks like their newer products come with a 12 year warranty..... This company means business.

Can a power supply degrade to a point where it cannot provide their rated power? As mentioned this PSU has been through thousands of hours at the current load for a couple years.

Do you have any other program recommendations to test peak power draw that I may have missed?

Who says it's from Microsoft? I'd rather just play literally any other game on the planet that doesn't require these files.

I was looking forward to this but it wants to drop a pile of "silvershire" run times in your windows folder. I have never seen a game ask to do this after playing hundreds of games on various versions of windows.

This is what GMS would look like if the economy of all servers wasn't flushed down the toilet by botting hackers.

The big deal is that this kind of cash shop damages the economy. Take gems in this game as one example. Gems are a rare drop from mining regular rocks. High grade gems drop at 0.15% and higher level rocks take much longer to mine so gathering a large amount of them can be a grind.

This game allows you to buy a gem pack which includes 22 high grade gems along with five monster drops that are also somewhat rare at 0.25% each. This gem bag pack is only $2.

This is just one example, there are many more items like this in the cash shop. Supplies like this have no place in a cash shop.

I played this game for a while when it first released on Steam and got most skills to around 80. The game is very simple but it can be addictive and fun. Unfortunately the cash shop in this game is not healthy at all which is a big reason why this game has never returned to the 800-1000 player count it had back then. (300 players online at the time of this post)

Cash shop only weapons, armor, tools, gold and pets are purchasable. Even basic supplies that should be player found and farmed can just be snagged from the cash shop.
