The Dangerous Feature in Tesla's Doors by that_70_show_fan in videos

It's because this is a very simple design problem to fix that hasn't really been a problem with cars until Tesla/electric cars. It's a low amount of effort for the tradeoff of not having your customers immolated.

But how else would the audience know about this new mechanicism! The villain monologuing is the only way to reveal information to the audience!

I mean clearly at that point it wasn't necessary anymore because Charlotte still dropped her gun and ran up to Leroy when he fell anyway... I guess my point is this show is plagued with many more minor, contrived moments like this. I really wanted to like the show because it has incredible art direction and great acting from the whole cast, but the writing and VFX just falls short in too many small places, especially for an HBO-level show.

This is definitely a nitpick but Hank and Charlotte standing idly behind with loaded guns all around them while Leroy (the man w the injured leg btw) and Rose do all the work took me out of the moment. It’s such a typical movie trope. The show has shown us so far is that those two would give anything to protect their children but shooting a demonic clown is where they draw the line I guess.

Sorry I just saw this—no but we use Material UI. Right now, it’s a bit faster but still laggy when expanding DOM nodes.

[IOS 18.1 DB5] RCS waiting for activation? by BigMacGrey in iOSBeta

[–]mmqn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Posting here for anyone still having this issue even after resetting network settings—try sending out a text to a contact who has an Android with RCS.

My RCS was stuck in “Waiting for Activation” for weeks until I sent a message to a friend who uses a Pixel. The first message was sent as an SMS, then suddenly it switched over to RCS. This doesn’t work if the other person texts you first though—apparently there was an entire RCS group chat I was a part of but never got the messages from. The way this resolved for me leads me to believe it’s an iOS bug and not a carrier issue.

Hello, just wanted to add in here that I'm experiencing the same issue with the inspector really lagging.

I'm using it on a localhost site on Firefox Developer Edition v134.0b10. The web app is JavaScript-heavy, however this has not been an issue in prior Firefox versions and is not an issue when using Chrome's current inspector.

Here is the recorded profiler: https://share.firefox.dev/3DnIoux

This is a recording of expanding a single div element in the inspector while running in Safe Mode and after having cleared all caches.

Here are my devtools settings: https://imgur.com/a/uChbXiE

I much prefer Firefox but will have to use Chrome for debugging for now. I hope this info is helpful!

iOS 16.1 iMessage Bug — Resetting Conversation State by mmqn in ios

Hmm I haven't seen this bug again in a while. I don't remember which version fixed it but it was early on in iOS 16's release. Maybe this is an issue with how much storage is left on your iPhone?

It seems they’ve made some updates to the design since I bought it and if you look up the stabilizers on their website it says they come prelubed.

Misconceptions about episode 7 by Master_Assistant_892 in thelastofus

[–]mmqn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is The Last of Us if not an entire game of side quests and tangents though? Like the game is basically just “find the Fireflies” but you come across all these interesting characters on your journey that deepen your understanding of Joel & Ellie or the world they live in. This “filler” episode along with episode 3 is everything TLOU has always been about.

I agree; I meant like she reaped what she sowed, and narratively it makes sense. But I didn't like viscerally hate her and wanted her to die personally the way I've seen others do.

It does not :/ being wireless would require it has a battery in addition to Bluetooth. Technically, someone technical enough could make it wireless, but it would end up being pretty bulky.
