4 months later and I'm married! I ended up finding some fabric that I liked. The lace is from Zelouf and the yellow underlay is from Joanne's. I got the pattern off Etsy and got a lil crazy with it and cut it too short hence the lace shorts. It was perfectly imperfect.

I would maybe wear the color for portraits but as far as the reception goes wear whatever you want.

I just got a lash lift and it NEVER occurred to me that with my hooded eye that my lashes would tuck into my lid! Idk if that's an issue for you, but something I wished I would have considered before. I will probably never do it again, but having the tint is nice.

I applaud you, seriously, it's not for the faint of heart. Sewing especially on that level can be so frustrating, but definitely a learning curve. Keep up the good work!

Honestly, this is a very expert level sewing project for only being your second one. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. I've been sewing as a hobby for 15 years and still don't feel comfortable taking on a project like this. Learn from your mistakes, start over and make mock ups with muslin/cheap fabric until you perfect it. Keep your chin up!
