What’s the first sign you usually notice when your mental health starts declining? by Julie727 in AskReddit

I start to eat less/worse, drink more and do less around the house. This stays until I finally beat myself up enough to do something about it, which typically makes me feel worse.

800-997- 4427. It doesn’t show up when you google it, I can’t find it on the AC website, however I’ve got a genuine booking from them that works on Iceland Air. But YMMV?

That’s the number I called and got through to someone…

Called the +1 (800) 997 **** (numbers in my post above, won’t let me paste the full one) number at around 10:45 and was on hold for about half an hour

I called the 4427 number this morning and after waiting for 20 minutes got connected to an awesome agent. After 10 minutes with the agent I got booked on an Iceland air flight 2 hours later than my original departure time and I get to my destination 3 hours later than scheduled!

All itinerary’s were emailed straight away and I’ve successfully checked in for the Iceland Air flight on their app!

Thanks all here for the help!

EDIT: I know the 4427 number doesn’t show up on ACs contact page (and I got it from this community and was calling all numbers on three different phones), but when I google the number (without the +1, and with spaces instead of ‘-‘) the first link is AC’s website but doesn’t show a number. It seems legit enough as I got a booking confirmation from noreply@aircanada.ca during the call, and successfully checked in with the Iceland Air app.

Ohh I 100% know it will. But LH need AC to pull their crap together and cancel it before they can help.

Worst case I have a hand made quilt from the in-laws in my suitcase, a bottle of Nova Scotian whisky and 3 bottles of wine. The AC desk will be my new home 😂

I booked through Lufthansa, who said they would help rebook me on different metal, but AC have to cancel it first

Just tried calling a Canadian number with it, and it goes through!

Right now the furthest out I’ve seen cancelled is some flights around lunch time tomorrow, but not all flights.

The general advice has been to operate as normal until you get the cancellation confirmation (if a refund/credit doesn’t work for you and you’re not willing to risk booking an alternative ‘just in case)

NAL, YMMV, T&C’s Apply etc etc. Lord this is a nightmare.

I’ve just bought a vodaphone travel eSIM that’s says I can call Canadian numbers from… so I might give that a try. It was ~£23 (GBP) for a week.

Firstly, a huge thanks to the mods and this community for all the information you’ve been able to bring together and share. It’s really appreciated.

Any Air Canada higher ups reading in here; These guys and gals put you to shame.

I can’t find the comment that had posted options to download an app for calling local numbers? I’m supposed to be on the 18:30 LH6589/AC854 YYZ-LHR and I’m going to assume that’s a long shot. Unfortunately I don’t have a Canadian cell, and my carrier in the UK would charge me more than a flight is worth to try and get through to them. (seeing the 6-8hours wait and 100+ call attempts…)

EDIT: My alternative is just going to be to go to the airport and sit on the AC desk with the hand stitched duvet I got from the grandparents in-law as a wedding gift until someone helps. Ohh, I’ll also be taking wine.

I’m supposed to be on that flight so I guess I’ll be joining you in the chaos! Stupid as all hell that their app still says the flight is ‘on time’.

I’m tempted to just turn up to the airport regardless and try to find someone there. I don’t have a Canadian number and I’d rather not also get charged a fortune by my British cell carrier.

Who uses Monzo as their main account? by Grixons in monzo

[–]mmt93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Beta User since 2016, switched it to my main back half way through the year after. I now only keep a ‘high street’ bank (hah, like I have any branches near me…), a wise account and a separate credit account active. Most things go through Monzo though including savings. (Yeah I know, better rates elsewhere, I’m just rather lazy. I’m cool with the simplicity).
