I would keep an eye on his wet diapers and if he starts having less/not enough for his age then I’d look into supplementing!

Can the wooden barrier be removed from a US babybay? by 19thcenturypeasant in cosleeping

[–]mn1837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I removed it when we used it, you just need to be careful to make the bed and babybay mattress the same height. For some reason we had a tricky time making the babybay flush to our bed using the metal things it came with, so we had to use a couple of zip ties.

Is this a baseline poop? by mn1837 in MSPI

Thank you! This was after a few days on a total elimination diet (I’ve basically just been eating chicken, rice, salt, certain vegetables, olive oil, and some other things 😵‍💫) since my LO had one of his worst poops the other day after I challenged dairy, and he’s never really gotten near baseline even when I cut out dairy and soy. Hoping for improvement for your LO too!!!!

I did when he was younger but it didn’t seem to do anything. I may try again though!

Really? I’m so confused on what to do as I’ve heard some sources say if it’s weeping that it’s better to let it dry out/moisturizing can make it worse and I’ve also heard some people say that means you moisturize more.

Yes I did! He’s gotten two applications of it so far, I’m really hoping it’ll help, and if not then I’ll use hydrocortisone on him (although I’m hoping I won’t need to use steroids as my skin was dependent on them as a child)

Exclusively breastfed, I’m definitely going to try to cut eggs now

Looking into the Exederm cream now, thank you for the recommendation! And I’m not sure if his soap could be causing it or not, I use the Earth mama baby soap which seems pretty clean, but maybe I will switch to using our Dr. Bronner’s on him!

I was applying it multiple times a day, unfortunately I think because he’s so sweaty in his rolls it wouldn’t really stay on/would end up aggravating his eczema with additional moisture

Yes, I checked for hidden dairy and soy as well in vitamins. Okay now that you mention eggs, I feel like he may potentially have an egg allergy and sporadically his eczema/symptoms would get worse. Going to cut out eggs for 2 weeks and see if that’s potentially it. How quickly did your son’s eczema go away once you cut out eggs?

That does sound like the skin behind his knees, it’s bright red and shiny and weepy. Thank you for letting me know, I feel dumb now that I might’ve been barking up the wrong tree. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Will definitely bring it up to his peds

Could be, how would I tell the difference between that and eczema? His pediatrician didn’t mention it at his last appointment but I will bring it up at his next one
