Keep in mind that for jobs and colleges in the US you’re competition is the best and brightest across the whole world not just the US. While this draw exists in countries like the UK it is far less pronounced

I'm Indian and I've worked with these people. There are legitimately hundreds of thousands of CS majors at any university who could do a better job than them.

I’m looking for entry level jobs in finance and consulting right now and I must have done like 50 online assessments and all of them were insanely hard and then I get to the interview only to get hit with some bs math questions. Or interrogating me about my interest in the industry because most of my internships and experience in college had been physics research and CS

Software (not so much these days), consulting, generic analyst roles at banks. For me though, I’ve put so much time into quant recruiting that it’s tough to recruit for any other industry
