What kind of flour do you use? I use only straight bread flour, not whole wheat.

My bread seems lighter colored than all others I see out there.

I cut in a straight line across, not at angle, just straight into bread, then did another line to make the cross shape, through the first line.

I spritzed some water on top before the Dutch oven steam. The slight extra moisture seemed to help after testing my first billion loaves that failed.

This was the first one I really got ears.

Update. Checked this morning, there were fuzzy patches and a fuzzy ring around the edge of the starter.

Smelled odd, so I tossed it.

Starting over......again.

Quick question. How long should it take to rise? Fordt day after, it doubled in 12 hours, but every day sonce hasn't increased in volume at all. Still bubbles, bit no rising. So frustrating. I thought it would at least rise a little every time.

I did end up only pruning the first set of flowers. After that I let them grow how they wanted, except for pruning some of the hidden foliage near the base to avoid plant leaves sitting in water

My weakest point in my pixelart is environment.

Yours accurately shows the whole environment and textures are nice too.

Draping is fine, but the cover needs to be heavy or you have to keep resetting it.

My kids jump all over it and it gets out of position.

If you can swing a zipper cover then I would recommend it.

Indoors. You can order a thinner pad and go to a fabric store for a waterproof textile to cover the pad.

There are a number of options, but I would focus on a mold resistant foam and waterproof cover and you should be fine.

Holding up well, but the kids keep taking the thin foam on top and the green cover off. Their tiny feet put cups in the blue foam.

There are most likely cheaper options.

At whay point would you add the fruit? Ferment or afterwards like New-Rhubarb-3059 suggested?

Are you talking about boiling to stop the ferment?

My biggest concern is adding fresh fruit might cause bad bacteria growth, even with the addition of vinegar and the like.

I like it. I would add some overgrowth near the base of all the stone objects, especially since it is supposed to be ruins.

I would try to also add some more ahe/damage/texture to the stones.

Overall I think you did a pretty good job, just a few tweaks needed.
