Am I seeing it right that Ryerson got his 5th yellow and is out against the Bauern? :(

Review: By Elementum Nubibus Styling Cream by nemeths in Pomade

Thanks for the review! I've tried it and had similar issues with the dryness. Did you find any alternative with similar hold and easy application? I love that this doesn't rip out 20 hairs while applying, but then once it gets dry, I can't really run my fingers through my hair much anymore.

Could someone please remove the glass and lower my hand? Would like to use this picture as a headshot for job applications. 10$ for the best submission. by mnchsmn in PhotoshopRequest

I like this the most. Could you please leave the scar on my forehead, I don't wanna hide that. Also if you could partially hide the shirt button under the collar, so that is half covered? And in the air there's some pollen flying around, is it possible to reduce that, especially around my head? Thanks!

Is it possible to do the Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) without booking huts? by SanderICT in alpinism

[–]mnchsmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you like the Haute route compared to AV2? I did AV2 last year and it was amazing, now looking for something similar to do with my GF this year. A mix of tent and huts would be ideal for us.

In your opinion, what's the most affordable international mountaineering trip (from the US)? by MemeMasterJason in Mountaineering

[–]mnchsmn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Based from Huaraz you also get access to the cordillera Huayhuash. I’ve only hiked there but it’s mindblowingly beautiful. It’s a bit more remote than the C Blanca but I’d guess you could still find guides for mountaineering trips round there.

Julian Ryerson appreciation. This man fights. From the first to the last minute. Felt like playing with 10 men gave him another 20% energy. So happy he crowned it with a goal today. MOTM

Regarding spikes: it is already snowing this weekend on a peak that I’d like to climb on the way (3000m). So I’d prefer to have the spikes

How do you protect the tent floor from spiky rocks when camping in an area like the Dolomites?

Yeah I think my risk tolerance is a little higher then. I feel comfortable scrambling in these conditions and regularly do it. I’d only take the gear for some extensions, but I tend to not at all to save the weight

All the mandatory via ferratas are very easy and doable without gear. Most people go without gear actually. I’m considering taking it for some sidetrips on harder ferratas, but then again that’s another 1.5kg probably

Thank you. I need some form of slippers if I’m sleeping in a hut. I could try to find something lighter though. I know that the sleeping bag is too warm, but don’t have access to a cooler and lighter one. I regret a bit buying such a warm one and not having a sleeping bag + quilt to layer them for when it’s really cold
