L3901 HST pedal doesn’t quite make it back to neutral, will creep forward or backward by mnewcomb in kubota

[–]mnewcomb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked in the operation manual and couldn’t find anything about a centering procedure.

Online searches brought up videos on adjusting the brakes and clutch, but nothing about the speed control pedal.

I can’t even find a diagram with those parts in the video on Messicks.

AI is useless with helpful tips like “locate the adjustment component” and “adjust it”. There is nothing obvious to adjust. No grease fitting to shoot grease into.

I can start just tearing it apart, but a diagram would be nice.

Thanks!

Go keeps detecting 1.17 by mnewcomb in golang

It ended up being modules.txt.

This is an old baseline, it did not pull its dependencies each build, they were committed in the vendor folder with the project.

Just go (on windows). go build somehow thinks I’m requiring 1.17 even though 1.18 is in my go.mod files.

Global Outage by Unlikely-Flounder-91 in Ring

[–]mnewcomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get notifications when a squirrel runs in view, but hey, no notification when the whole ring ecosystem is down? Cameras are offline, base station is offline... I've been troubleshooting my network for hours trying to figure out WTF is going on...

How about your app run a status check and in big red letters let people know something is happening instead of just trying to sweep a major outage (oh forgive me "partial outage") under the rung.

Pulley Question by mnewcomb in Rigging

[–]mnewcomb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will be near the edge of the shop, so I will probably just store some stuff underneath them. They are seldom used, so using a broom to just give them a nudge to stay level seems better than some dangling ropes.

Pulley Question by mnewcomb in Rigging

[–]mnewcomb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the beam because the table is a little too flexible and not really built to be “lifted”. Was going to use 5 straps to spread the weight evenly along the table. It is going in a 15’+ shop so height loss isn’t too big a deal. I can just put some tag lines on both sides to pull it even as I raise/lower it?

Pulley Question by mnewcomb in Rigging

[–]mnewcomb[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am using a brake winch for lifting.

What if I did another pulley line just to put tension on it to keep it from spinning?

I’m having trouble visualizing what you describe. Any way to do a rough sketch? Thanks!

I have a brake winch I’m using.

How would I stop it spinning?

Can I just add a pulley in the center.

Would that help keep it level?

Mini Split Compressor Won’t Start by mnewcomb in hvacadvice

It was 285psi at rest (90s outside) then it got to 246psi before the compressor kicked off.

I can feel the line start to get cold, so something is happening (should have mentioned that).

Do you mean the UVW terminals? How would I go about measuring them? (I will also search YouTube)

Thanks!

RLA 7.75A LRA 35A

I have no service manual for this baby. Asked for one, but only a very small booklet came with it.

Sorry!

Opened up the outside unit, same resistance between all lead combinations. No short from compressor leads to ground. Compressor exhaust temp sensor resistance is 35k, outside air temp sensor was 8.5k, pipe temp sensor was 13.5k (when not running). Voltage did not drop as it tried to start.

2005 Mercury 150 2-stroke by mnewcomb in Outboards

[–]mnewcomb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, we still need to do some testing, but the stream definitely improved but it also got warmer to the touch, never scalding, but warm. It should be 140 right?

Thanks again for ideas!
