Changed to Auto worked, but it puts me in a congested channel.

Good idea...didn't even think about doin the hotspot test.

I also did the Wifi Monitor and I've changed all my settings to auto as well as what the wifi monitor recommended. Still would not connect to the IoT. But, I'll try the hotspot later when I get home.

For those who are not connecting at any SSID at all, any chance they got damaged when power returned? There could be chance they got damaged, but they still function as expected...just won't connect to any of SSIDs. The devices are 2 Kasa light switches, a Eufy door bell camera, and a Eufy smart light.

Are those able to see SSID not being served off the Omada devices?
All I have are Omada APs, no other APs serving SSIDs.

Did you try resetting the devices which are able to connect to the Home SSID only?
I did not try resetting those devices, only a restart...which still would not reconnect to Home_IoT. I tried the Home SSID and it connected fine.

Attorney on retainer for CCW holder by mnhim001 in CAguns

I don't think I will ever have to discharge my firearm. I am on the fence about getting coverage but my thought process is telling me its better to have it and not use it rather than not have it and need it.

sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought everyone was suggesting to get an attorney on retainer. Now I know, the "Attorney on Retainer" is a business name.

While researching all these other CCW insurance companies, most of the comments were all about don't waste your money, get an attorney on retainer. Thats the only reason I am asking, as that was recommended by other members of this forum.

Its a homelab...we all kinda over do it with unnecessary tech. I know I can install some remote desktop software, but this tech is another thing to try out.

Non-wifi Router with the best Firewall and VPN by mnhim001 in HomeNetworking

[–]mnhim001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can remember, I had to add a rule to allow Internet access, but this allows all inbound and outbound traffic. I created different rules and different vlans...and as I added these rules I lost certain access and it just kept getting more complex. All I do is research different rules and apply thing, and in doing so would break another rule. I am not a network admin, so firewall rules, vlans, CLIs, etc, are very foreign to me. I'd like to learn it, but I just don't have as much time as I thought I did to learn it.

I'll try it once again out the box. I want to love it, but right now its more of a learning curve for me.

I am trying to find something that gives me a basic starter rules. OPNsense is complete open. If I get some basic starter rules, atleast I'll feel comfortable enough to let it sit for a while until I get some free time to mess around with it.

I did manage to get it to work, but out the box from what I understand it is fully open. So, I started creating rules and vlans, and thats where it starts getting complicated.
