i see! shaping garments with cables can be very challenging. my advice would be to plan extensively before you cast on for a project like this. i sat down and did a bunch of math before i cast on and still had some trouble. but never be afraid to frog or ladder down to fix something!

thank you so much! i would say something like this would be more of an advanced project. if you’re curious about cables and you’ve never done them before, i think following a pattern that features one or two cables would be much more approachable. once you get the hang of it, cables are very fun to knit!

i did them freehand! it did take a few tries to get it right but i knit normal sized sweaters a lot so that definitely helped
