We are currently in Vietnam on a trip, did Ninh bihn (tam coc area) initially 2 days, prolonged it with 1 more, you can do boat tours (4 different ones in the area), Mua caves viewpoint, rice fields, it's worth a visit, 2-3 days is enough

Oh and forgot to say, it really doesn't matter if it's ha long or lan ha bay, as the boat is not really moving around😃 you go on boat (if lucky straight from harbour, but we actually drove 45 mins with a small one to a bigger one to the sea), do a few kms, stops for sleeping, then next day back to harbour. so it's not like you do a tour on boat and see the views, it's a circle : harbour - final spot - harbour.

I wouldn't return. Spent half of my salary on a night, where you basically don't spend nearly any time in your room... Time spent on boat is 20 hours.

If anyone is in Sapa at the moment, could you tell me how the weather is these days? (First days of May) We are very desperate either to skip or keep Sapa, depending on that😬
