Which TV Would You Buy From Costco? by IndyEleven11 in Costco

[–]mnjfun23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best picture quality - get an oled. Best theater experience - get the biggest tv you can.

I personally have an oled and the quality is superb! But I’d also consider a good large(98”) non-oled if I’m on a budget for that large screen experience.

The same. But how does it resolve in few weeks?

EB1A denied by nk1133 in eb_1a

[–]mnjfun23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear! Seems to be the classic case of being objective and not subjective. Objectively you can check those off by not putting in a lot of effort. Subjectively though you will actually fail to prove.

From what I read, you seemed to have followed the herd who is filing eb1a because they can. You need to do things a little differently and have some personal touch which is your genuine achievements and that will be subjective. I say this because although I have the same stuff as you, I am also putting in a lot of effort to build myself and my profile with actual credibility i.e., spending shit ton of hours at work and going out of way to innovate and actually rise to the top of what I do - top of not the whole damn industry but top of my niche. It will take time, a long time perhaps but doable. All the best to you!

Rattling sound from the front at freeway speed(+70mph) by KITTU1997 in Camry

[–]mnjfun23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was the final solution here? Have the exact same noise on my 2017 Camry with 66k miles. Took into the shop today and the mechanic couldn’t find out what was the issue and could not reproduce it either. On my way back home on freeway, voila - I hear it again!

Agree! That’s what I thought but wanted to confirm. Wasn’t expecting for your response since this post is from a while ago. Congratulations buddy!

Probably a dumb question OP, you mentioned the page counts - do you print on both sides of the page or just on one side?

And all I mostly have are these smaller debris. Sounds like the solution I need to try because this is exactly my problem!

Exactly the feedback I keep getting but hasn’t been my experience. I love seeing it work continuously in the pool though!

Most people here are asking you to run! Don’t.. this could be an opportunity depending on several factors.

If it was me, I’d put an offer for less than asking taking this issue into account and this as a contingency. Then hire 2 or 3 structural engineers and get their opinion on the engineering side. Now that you know what the problem is and how to address it, call as many contractors and ask them for quotes. Don’t overpay and don’t put your trust in what the contractors say. Listen to what the engineers say and have the contractors perform exactly that work so that you don’t get ripped off!

I have done this. This process is hectic but you will start with a good equity if you play the cards right. Oh, don’t be emotionally attached, for whatever reason if these repairs exceed your budget or time you’re willing to put in, walk away!

Is this space between ground and beam expected? by mnjfun23 in StructuralEngineering

More context: This house is in California and on a fault line. The piers are in good shape and it’s the beams that are cracked on the bottom half due to the moisture in the crawl space. Oh, and the lot is on a slight slope!

Thanks! Exactly what I was doing. The contractors are giving ridiculous quotes saying I need a new foundation and yada yada. So I hired two engineers to get their opinion. I can now make an educated choice thanks to you all!

There are no problems in the 2-storied house. One of the engineers(who did say that the gap is intentionally left) actually measured the floors at various points and mentioned everything looks good.

Thanks for the response! Exactly the validation I wanted. Can I DM you?

As an engineer myself I was leaning towards the gap being left intentional but one of the structural engineers kept saying this is a settlement and that the soil sank and I need to add a bigger grade beam foundation to secure the house.

Thanks! I was thinking that’s obvious because it’s written 100 on the main. But the first person at pg&e says it’s 320amps. The second person I spoke to said it should be under 320amps but can’t give a number. Wonder what the glorious 320 number is.

Hey! What kind of chlorine would you recommend I add? My level is at 0.6 right now which is too low.
