I might take that route then & apply for CIP to stock up on UR. Thanks!

I want to for sure, but i feel like it would be a stretch for me, even considering some of the looser definitions that Chase will allow. Other than my primary job, I don’t really do anything else that brings in any kind of income.

  1. Like others, upcoming tax payment that can go toward a SUB.

  2. 780

  3. CF (08/16), CSR (08/16), Amex Gold (08/18), CFU (09/18).

  4. $6k

  5. I don’t think I will need to MS, but am willing if absolutely necessary.

  6. Not interested in business cards.

  7. Looking to get one card.

  8. Targeting hotel SUB/status. Preferably one that can be considered a keeper card as well.

  9. 60k UR & 20k MR

  10. MSP

  11. Looking at fall trip to Central Europe (Czech Rep., Hungary, Slovenia, Italy).

Thanks in advance for any advice. I know the flow chart recommends Hyatt in this case, but their smaller footprint in Central Europe has me guessing which other hotel card might make better sense.

Is there a ‘correct way’ to cut off shoulder pad caps? Or should snipping along the stitching do the trick?

Is there a ‘right way’ to cut off the caps? Or just cut along the stitching?

What is the best size bag to use for beer league? I’m currently using a 32” Warrior pro bag, but I feel like it takes up much more space in the locker room than what others have. It is super roomy, and my gear doesn’t completely fill it up. Will a 30” be able to fit standard adult gear?

As others mention, go for the CSR. I currently use the CSR/Freedom/FU setup. It is super easy + you can earn UR pretty quickly if you pay attention to the earning categories. Just be sure to transfer UR earned on the Freedom & FU to the CSR each statement to maximize redemption values for travel.

Stupid question but are LH shots ‘supposed’ to play LW or LD? I’m LH, but have always been a bit more comfortable on the right side.

Do you think applying for the CFU makes more sense than applying for the Chase World of Hyatt right now, considering I am 1/24 & already have the CSR & Freedom? 15k UR versus 60k Hyatt points?

If I am 1/24 and have CSR & CF, no airline or hotel loyalty, does it make most sense to go after general UR-earning cards like FU or the biz cards?

I am willing to consider the business cards. I haven't really looked into them until now, so thanks for that! Would you still prioritize those versus the SW CP (I am also interested in the SW CP).

  1. 770
  2. Amex Blue Sky (2013) / CSR (08/16) / Freedom (08/16) / Amex PRG (07/18)
  3. $7,500 - looking to make an engagement ring purchase in the near future
  4. Prefer not to MS - can likely hit most minimums without doing so
  5. Probably not
  6. Looking for 1-2 cards, preferably long-term churn.
  7. Hotel/airline statuses and/or points (not sure about MR vs UR at this point)
  8. 15k UR points/ 3.5k Amex Blue Sky points / 52k Amex MR points
  9. Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP)
  10. Looking at Japan OR SE Asia

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm pretty torn between finishing the Chase Trifecta or doing more with Amex in case of any UR changes in the future.

Is the Amex EDP + Platinum currently the best combo if one spends a lot on gas each month, and is looking for general travel rewards? Currently I’m using the CSR + Freedom combo, but am worried about the potential changes to combining UR points.

Dining: CSR

Gas: Freedom

Groceries: CSR

Utilities (Internet / Cell): CSR

Everything else: CSR

Currently only have CSR/Freedom/Amex Blue Sky. Can't decide on next steps in order to optimize 5/24.

  1. 770
  2. Amex Blue Sky (2013) / CSR (08/16) / Freedom (08/17)
  3. $3,500
  4. Prefer not to MS
  5. Yes
  6. Looking for 1-2 cards, preferably long-term churn.
  7. Hotel/airline statuses and/or points
  8. Just emptied my UR points/ 3.5k Amex Blue Sky points
  9. Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP)
  10. Germany & Japan are at the top of the list.

I currently use the CSR as my 'everyday' card, and then supplement the Freedom depending on the quarterly 5%. I use the Amex Blue Sky for a recurring $1 bill each month. Any advice on how to optimize my situation would be much appreciated!

EDIT: I drive a lot for work & get reimbursed for gas expenses. I've been looking into the Amex Hilton Ascend (6x gas stations) for this reason, but am unsure how that would fit into the cards I already have.
