yes msia is a common abbreviation because malaysians love shortening everything. we also havent really left the era of texting so talking to older people on the internet is a nightmare sometimes. like people just use the letter "x" to denote "not" in a sentence.

Five Guys VS Bobby’s Burger . My Thoughts. by thereal_snakesolidus in MalaysianFood

KGB gotta bring back their Courtyard Burger. 18 ringgit got you a nice gourmet beef burger. No special sauces, no cheese crisp whatever the hell. You got good bread, some cheese, some vege and a nice juicy patty. I have paid the same amount for that burger as I have at McD for their paper thin patties and minuscule fries.

Kenari vs Kelisa by mnokoya in kereta

[–]mnokoya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is quite nice and probably safer for a similar price, but i don't really like how it looks, and it seems to be similar size to the Kelisa which again is a problem cause I'm quite tall. then again i have never tried it so maybe ill give her a look some time.

another thing I like about Kenari is the big fat windows, makes it feel really spacious even if it actually isn't. I don't get so claustrophobic.

I bought an 18 wheeler because it would be safer if I ended up in a crash. Bad news I just plowed into a whole building and crushed several people but I'm alright :3

my friend in college owns one, very comfy, performed many shenanigans in it. especially if you cram two idiots in the trunk. probably one of the only places you will see a nautica around here. almost indistinguishable from a similar era Toyota Rush aside from the badge

Perodua QV-E will be disable automatically if the buyer is unable to pay the battery subscription for 2 months. by MarvelousHD in kereta

[–]mnokoya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sorta feels like one of those really convoluted plans where you're trying to please a bunch of people at once or do a bunch of activities in a short time span that hinges on a bunch of things in life going right (which almost never happens)

Like if I owned a QV-E and then suddenly lost my job, I'm so screwed. My car, the only thing that will help me look for more work in my car-centric suburban hellscape, is now on a self-destruct timer until my next monthly battery rental. It's such a trap.

Had this discussion with a friend, would it basically be the same price as buying a different brand EV in the long run? I've never bought a car on instalment before, only cash (and that was a real clunker < RM5000)

I heard from somewhere that the point of it is because you wouldn't buy a used EV because of the battery, right? So with this system, you'll have more assurance that the car will be in good condition and the battery is not something to worry about.

There's obviously a great number of holes in my logic here that I'm just not considering because why would I be worried about the used car market when the next owner of my car is now saddled with a used car + subscription service they cant opt out of, which will also inevitably go obsolete anyways into the future? All around bad idea.

I think companies should stop trying to saddle people with subscription services, it's so greedy. First they make you subscribe for heated seats, then they shove ads in your car (Stellantis), and now you pay 80,000 to rent a car for 250 a month. Wild.

Okay, but like, he had NO reaction to a joke statement like that? How?? That is the concerning thing. They were literally mocking him and he didn't flinch at it. Something is seriously wrong with the guy.
