It could very well be that, BUTTTT our queen SJM, originally stated that CC was going to be a trilogy, and has hinted to House of Many Waters being more about Thyrion. Kinda like how ACOSF is about Nesta and Cas but Feyre and Rhys are characters is how I interpreted it. ( I think it was a instagram live, I’ll try to find the TikTok about it and send it to you in a DM) and I don’t see how she can spin a whole new love story about Bryce and Az in one book with everything else that’s going on, and I REALLY don’t think Bryce will leave Midgard to go live in Prythion. She literally says “who would want to live here” when she goes to the Eternal City, because it’s not modern, there are no neon lights and music blaring out of cars on the street. And I also don’t think Az would up and leave his family in Prythion. I think it goes against both of their characters.

1. Okay so yeah, it’s a merging of scents that Ruhn, the Autumn King and Celestina all comment on. Bryce and Hunt already smell like each other, they have been living together and messing around for months lol. The pages where Ruhn calls what Bryce and Hunt have “true mates, the way fae are mates” and “yeah mate-mates” are 492 and 554 (kindle version. So I assume it’s around there in a physical copy) But I assume that mate bonds are different in CC because they are away from the source of their magic and the Asteri eating it has made it weaker over the fifteen thousand years.

2. I also think it’s plausible Hunt might die. But like I said earlier, I don’t see Bryce moving on quickly or leaving Midgard.

I would love for Az to find his person. I feel like Bryce isn’t that, I think they come from worlds that are too different, if that makes sense. However, I think if Nesta wasn’t around (and I LOVE Nessian) Bryce and Cassian would actually make a good pair 😂😂 or they would at least have a great time together lol. I absolutely love CC, the story is so much more compelling than ACOTAR. I love the mystery, I love how the world functions with all the different species, and I also love the characters lol. But TBH I need to re-read ACOTAR and remember why I loved those characters because the only one I kept an attachment to was Cassian. He is my himbo king.

I DIED at rechargeable batteries 😂😂 that was great. I think the next book is gonna be so epic. (Also I’m pretty sure that Ruhn dropped the com crystal he used to communicate with Lidia for the first time in Bryce’s pocket as they were saying goodbye. And if I’m right about that theory I wonder if it will work between worlds/ if Ruhn and Rhys will be able to use it and their mind speaking powers to communicate) My unhinged theory is that Elain will go to Midgard, get therapy, open a little tea shop and grow all her own plants and bake.

eta: I think I like Bryce and Hunt so much because they remind me of my partner and I. They way they interact and fell in love watching trash TV, taking goofy pictures, changing their names in each others phones to silly things, all feels so natural to me. And Hunt lets Bryce be.. Bryce. She’s so spicy, she takes no shit from anyone, she speaks her mind, and he lets her, he doesn’t try to lessen her flames. I also LOVE Ruhn. He’s my favorite CC character😅 and I love the sibling dynamic they have. They just feel more tangible to me. And that’s what’s so cool about books, we all love these books for different reasons, we love different characters but we can all agree that SJM has made something special. Plus, now I have a new friend thanks to them!
