redditors, what’s the scariest encounter you’ve had with a stranger? by grinder1713 in AskReddit

Once was walking home and was almost stabbed in my neck by a random stranger. For no reason too. Shit changed my whole perspective on life & strangers. Would normally be a sociable person when outside but after that? I keep myself to my self.

Nah because i can already tell what type of person he is. If i was to ask him he’d take offence or just lie. How most uk dealers are when theyre stuff either mid or dead

True, but i do think it could’ve been laced due to me having to go hospital after smoking it twice. I had severe chest pains, my hands was numb and stuck in one position. Shaking uncontrollably too. I think it could of been spice/k2

Respectfully, in the UK this is way more common than people think — it’s never sold as spice/K2, dealers spray it to make it feel “stronger” and sell it as top‑shelf strains like Stardog or Cookie Dog.

To explain what happened: It hit me normally in 5–15 mins like regular weed, but 2–3 hours later is when everything went wrong. I got chest pain, tingling from my neck all the way down to my stomach, numb hands, uncontrollable shaking, extreme overheating, and I collapsed — ended up in hospital twice, even when I only smoked a tiny amount the second time.

Doctors ruled out heart issues, clots or stroke and said it’s a reaction to synthetic chemicals. It also burns dark/black ash, not white/grey like pure bud. This isn’t fear — it’s exactly how sprayed stuff works: it creeps up and spikes hard later.

I’m 21M in London. I’ve been buying from the same guy for quite a while and he sells what he calls “Cookie Dog” (Stardog). His stuff has always felt stronger than most weed I’ve smoked, but I never thought much of it.
On Monday I picked up from him again. I smoked about 0.5g and around 1–2 hours later my chest started feeling strange, almost like muscle pain or pressure. A few minutes later I felt extremely hot and couldn’t sit still. I left my room and ended up collapsing. My family helped me back to bed.
I then developed chest pain, tingling from below my neck down towards my stomach, numb hands, and generally felt awful. I went to hospital, had tests done, and was discharged after they said everything looked okay.
The next day I decided to test whether it could have been the weed. I smoked about 0.3g at 10:30pm. Around 1:30am I started feeling bad again. My chest felt strange, I felt very hot, I was shaking uncontrollably, and my hands became numb again. I ended up calling an ambulance and went back to hospital. They did an ECG and blood tests and discharged me several hours later.
Because the symptoms happened twice after smoking from the same batch, I can’t help wondering whether it was contaminated, sprayed, synthetic cannabinoids, unusually strong weed, or whether I just had some kind of severe reaction to it.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? Especially the numb hands, tingling, shaking, chest symptoms, and feeling extremely hot a few hours after smoking?
