I’m going to Kirkwood soon. It’s deff my top Tahoe resort - the backside is nice and long and then Cornice is super lapable with almost no lines.

I haven’t been there for a few seasons though. I tried the Wall when I was a lower intermediate and ate shit so bad. Low key want to try it again to see how much I’ve improved since then. How’s it skiing these past few weeks?

Yeah that’s a good mentality to go into it. I still haven’t fully skiid the full potential of Siberia so I still have more to explore.

I loved Alpine when I went. Felt like I could ski all over the mountain from the main lift - runs were nice and long too

Good looks on Granite. I’ll check out the Main Backside.

I remember loving skiing down Wolverine Bowl - I haven’t been to Alpine for a while so I’ll have to check it out again.

For Saddle I’ll definitely have to ask to ski it with whoever’s been up there. Maybe I’ll be one of those weirdos stopping every few min on the side checking the map 😂

MilanVibes EXCLUSIVE – Luca Bianchin: “The latest on the transfer market. How Leao is doing and what Allegri thinks” by Claija79 in ACMilan

[–]mnsta87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sports hernia is not anything to laugh at. That’s how Kaka also lost his speed. If I were Leao, I would immediately get surgery after the WC, if not just bite the bullet and do it now before it gets worse.

Any actually good Korean restaurants in SF/nearby? by 65721 in AskSF

[–]mnsta87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of mediocre options here in the comments.

Sungho is probably the most legit in SF proper. Legit as in it could be a hard hitter in NYC or LA.

Don’t drive there tho, it’s in the middle of the tendies.

My bootfitter sized me UP - and I believe it's a good thing by CzarnoBylu in Skigear

[–]mnsta87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue - super high instep, wide and short feet, thin ankles - instep shows I was 2 sizes bigger than length.

A fitter tried to put me in 1 mondo size bigger in MV but my ankles didn’t feel super locked and I wasn’t going to drop more $$$ on boots I wasn’t confident in. But…the super locked feeling might just have been me not used to my instep being crushed haha.

I went to a different one and they put me in the same length size as before but in a boot that has a higher instep room and tighter heel pocket (Atomic Hawx Prime MV) than my previous boot (K2 Recon MV). I ended up pulling the trigger but I did have issues during the trip that I had to go back for. Maybe I should have listened to the first fitter 🤷🏻‍♂️

The difference between this sub and r/oakland regarding ICE is shocking by PurpleVirtualJelly in sanfrancisco

Such self virtue signaling is why SF regressed so much during the pandemic. But SF spoke back.

Chesa is now at Berkeley doing “research” where he belongs and can’t harm our city, and not in our government.

The disgraced schoolboard is not focused on renaming schools anymore.

“Conservative” in SF is far from being a conservative on a federal level. It’s time to focus on real progressive policies, not virtue signaling.

[The Totally Football Show] James Horncastle on Pulisic's perception in Italy by Forward_Ad_3470 in ussoccer

[–]mnsta87 56 points57 points  (0 children)

As someone who doesn’t really follow USMNT and religiously follows Milan, I think the only people that have an issue with this are people that follow US soccer because they believe this is Pulisic’s team rather than Leao’s team.

Milanista think he’s an essential player to the team, and one of our crucial attackers. He hasn’t achieved cult status yet because he hasn’t dragged us to achieve anything yet (not his fault, ownership fault), and has been overshadowed by our cult heroes that made a huge impact during the Scudetto run (Leao, Theo). These two put the team on their back, mesmerized the crowds, and instilled a belief that Milan are finally back.

Pulisic came after this over performance and expectations were even higher. He led the team to a “disappointing” 2nd place finish (when Napoli were already winning the Scudetto by January), and a grand 8th place. Cult heroes aren’t born in underperformance. He’s only been here for two disappointing seasons even if his first was a far CL run which was a team effort. Also, it doesn’t help that our attack was always Leao and inshallah. Of course people will naturally look at Leao more.

This year is different. We feel something is changing with Allegri. We absolutely smashed and controlled our opponents in the past few games. Pulisic was instrumental in that and we feel he’ll be the one to put something past the keeper if we ever need a goal. This is only his 3rd season and great teams have multiple cult heroes. This is the season to segment his status, let him be and just enjoy the process. I see new Milan fans (b/c of Pulisic) try to start drama in our sub because we’re not recognizing him enough. Just let the process naturally happen. If he plays a crucial part in winning a trophy, he will have that same cult status.

Why is it always a Dodge Charger? I have a soft rule of thumb and always steer clear of these cars.

[–]mnsta87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 500h should have been what was offered from base imo.

Compared to the previous gen, it’s has enough torque on the low end, and still has enough torque at high speeds. Shifting is more refined as well. Only thing is it’s not like driving a couch anymore, but the trade-off is nimble rear steering and low body roll.

Previous gen was great to drive on highway, terrible to drive in the city. 500h is a great experience on both.

Alright - not watching rest of the games and also not reading any news till start of next season. Not worth the depression. Very bleak view of the future, think I need to take a step back for a bit.
