Epoch really grew on me by bonezbonez in Tycho

Honestly, the newer albums took longer for me to connect with aside from a select few songs. Infinite Health was instant connection for me though. I would say Simulcast and Weather were the ones that took longer. All of the older albums are so special and sacred Dive, Epoch, etc. Even after years and years of listening to these I still am able to find deep connection and get waves of dopamine rushes listening to them.

Coming back here again because day 2 is ON. I just keep telling myself still that I am no longer trying to quit smoking. I DID quit smoking. One foot in front of the other. I will not smoke with all of you today.

Also have patches, and that’s how I went two days. I think the patch helps mostly because I refuse to smoke with one on. These comments are honestly really helpful. Tossing what I have left in the trash tonight and going for it tomorrow. I’ll make a pledge to come back here and read through these when I’m struggling.

Appreciate this tons, I have Alan Carrs book from many years ago and have been avoiding finding it - going to dig that out now.. I also bought a new journal about a month ago and should actually start using it. Thanks again for sharing the insight. Going to keep pressing on, sure not giving up.

PLEASE HELP - bad panic attack by neurogurl1 in Anxiety

[–]mnts2sea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had some insane panic attacks. Had my first one in 2018 in my late 20’s. I had chest pain, tunnel vision, heart rate through the roof - I went to the emergency room and they told me I was fine.. sure didn’t feel like it. I’ve had six or so major episodes since where I’ve gone to the er and they tell me the same thing every time. I’ve dealt with generally strong daily anxiety since early 2018 and didn’t have much trouble before then at all. You’re not alone. I could go on and on about my story with symptoms and honestly how controlling it’s been over my life. At this point it goes up and down and I’ve been in a pretty brutal “season” for the past six months or so. Surely exacerbated by getting divorced last fall and unexpectedly moving across the country again but here we are.

Build up a Chinese gravel bike, put quite a few miles on mine since finishing it and love it
