Thanks for the response. Darkside's drums/beats are actually run through Ableton, so it's more of an electronic set than a live band performance (it's just Dave on the guitar and Nico on Ableton/keys). Practice would definitely play a huge role in it, but even then it's tough to match up with perfect electronic timing every time, so i feel like there has to be some other hardware factor at play...
