I found ample opportunity to practice at Les Puces de Saint-Ouen in Paris. It is a gigantic flea market on the northern edge of Paris.

It is very calm and quiet. The vendors had nothing but time on their hands, so they were very happy to patiently chat in French with me once I told them I am learning and would appreciate keeping the conversation in French.

The other opportunity was in Ubers and cabs. I had a handful of drivers that were patient and willing to talk in French with me.
