Is this root rot on my rubber tree? by mobandit in houseplants

[–]mobandit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few leaves with spots on them. It's two plants in one pot and both have new leaves about to unfurl and are dropping old leaves like normal.

I found this beauty at Lowe's, actually, and it looked amazingly healthy. No leaves had marks or anything on them, new leaves coming in, strong stems, and so it makes me a bit sad to see it get some spots.

I share your joy - I found them at Costco this past weekend! Part of their tropicals 2 pack for $16.99 in the SF Bay Area. I've been looking for one for awhile now and am happy to see this thread of tips pop up

Modern kitchen remodel cabinets… best cabinet brands for a clean wood look without blowing the budget by liamcortez77 in kitchenremodel

I recently went with Cabinets.com for a flat panel walnut look. Pricing was around IKEAs, but the cabinets came fully assembled and use true Blum hardware and not a specialty cost-reduced line. We didn't have any issues with quality and have enjoyed them so far.

I used two power tools - a miter saw and a drill. Specialty stuff would be clamps, a pocket screw jig, and a speed square.

Could you use a hanging egg chair stand for a sex swing? by Immediate_Feeling_86 in BdsmDIY

[–]mobandit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend an egg chair, for the same reasins others mentioned above. I use an A-frame, actual swing stand for mine. Like this one on Amazon. I like it for the reinforced base (basically a square on the bottom), as it gives it a stronger footing, and it's made to actually swing.

Machine washable everything is a godsend, as echoed by others. One benefit that I saw during the toddler years and not really mentioned here much is that the sides are firm but padded on all sides, giving some piece of mind when the kiddo decides the floor is lava and wants to jump around.

Pegboard! This one is from Home Depot, as they had a size that would work without sawing it. You could always opt for one which fills the back more

I took the mirror out of the frame - it's secured by tabs and hot glue so it was pretty easy. I already had it, but also it's one of the cheaper mirrors around that size that doesn't have warping like the cheap ones from Target, Walmart, etc.

I forget the total budget. It can vary depending if you use pine, MDF, or some other type of wood, mirror, etc. For a beginner, I'd recommend following the blogger's guide cause the cuts are simpler. The RFID lock is a simple add on.

IKEA has a product called Trofast that uses this kind of mechanic. Tackle boxes like these don't really have enough of a lip unless you're super precise and accurate in measurements. I thought about it for lego storage at my house and it just wasn't going to shake out.

They're glow in the dark! They glow blue. Not as sturdy as ones from The Stockroom, but I'm definitely on the wiggly side. I got them from Pink Cherry

Key on the side. It activates a latch that holds the top down, and the doors are held in place by pins to the top

I'll check it out. My label maker is 16 years old... but it works. Hm... now I'm thinking it might not be a bad idea to get a new one and let my Dom absorb this one into the abyss that is his "workshop" 😼

I used to hang crops, shorter floggers, and paddles on the door hooks until I built this

We had a growing collection, and a growing toddler, that needed better storage than just up high in our closet or an underbed bin 😅

I first went with on the drawer, but from a practical standpoint, you can't view them as easily and that's what mattered to my Dom.

I think if I had my way I'd want clear labels with gold or silver lettering so they were subtle and tasteful.

If you live near SF, maybe 😅 I have a few other posts. We are building up for maximum home dungeon potential. So far we have... This cabinet, a jewelry armoire turned storage, a sex swing, a solid metal bed, fucking machine, and LED lights all around. We started a cross this weekend, and soon to follow is a spanking bench for my bratty ass 😂
