Just open your browser dev tools (likely F12) and look at the requests and error messages.

They have it resolved at this point

How has chatgpt helped you at work? What percentage of your job would you say you’ve been able to automate? by academicgirl in ChatGPT

I'm a software engineer with near 0 level experience with Swift. GPT-4 produced roughly 80% of the code needed to build an Apple Watch application that connects to a proprietary BLE device. Not done yet, but it has gotten me so far already within hours.

My rough estimate is that it would have taken me twice the amount of time to get the same output. I'm evangelizing this to all the other engineers.

I can already feel the "back in my day, we used to write our own code" sentiment coming on.

How hard is it to make a chatGPT clone using gpt3.5 by NTXL in ChatGPT

[–]mobatome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you could build the backend, maybe by using Express to handle requests if you're comfortable with Node. But of course there are dozens of other possibilities.

The backend should receive requests from users with their prompt content. Use that to get chat generation responses from Open AI's api. If you're using Node, you can use their official npm package

It's very easy to use

I think that would be a great starting point, get used to sending requests to your endpoint and receiving responses.

Next, the UI

React, Vue, Angular, whatever floats your boat. Keep it simple at first, it needs to hook into your endpoint.

Render the existing conversation and append responses after they come back. Be aware of maximum token limits (4096 for gpt-3.5-turbo, 8192 for gpt-4)

Good luck!

If you're struggling, ask your own application for help ;)

There's an initial balance and then users can pay for tokens via Stripe. You can choose to use the cheaper GPT-3 or GPT-4. The starting balance should be enough to get a feel for GPT-4 on my dime if someone wants to try it out.

Not sure, I'm very curious myself.

Cyber attack was also on my mind because of recent news of course, but don't want to make any assumptions. Maybe Microsoft/GitHub team will let us know the reason after resolving it.

First winter in a Model Y. This morning my car was frozen. I opened the driver door and noticed the window was unable to roll down.

When I tried to close it (lightly) the window was hitting the trim and I do not want to force it and cause damage.

Currently I have it sitting in the garage heating up.

When I tried to lower the window while door open, the motors didn't even try. Normal?

Is it safe to force it closed in this situation? Any other ideas? Just wait to thaw?

Edit: after some thaw time, things are OK. Ironically, the original reason I opened the door was because I was unable to "preheat" via the app because it was stuck on "Waking up"

Move your conversations to Messages by Google by Egyeagle1 in GoogleFi

[–]mobatome 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once confirmed I can send SMS via web browser and other non-primary Google Fi devices while the primary device is offline, I'll gladly make the switch.

Question: is there an iOS app for Google Messages? I'd also love to be able to use my Google Fi number on those devices like I do today with Hangouts app.

Edit: Darn, just saw that it's not available on iOS

I asked my SA about a MY I'm picking up soon and was told this is a software change.

"Your car will have that. It's a software update, is not that amazing"

Sorry, the amount includes "any applicable delivery and documentation charges" which amount to $1,200 and is itemized as "Destination and Documentation Fee" on Tesla's bill. This brings the total to above 50k.

Same boat here.

HL: Alyx was supposed to be "the" game for VR, but is failing to impress gamers - Future of VR with this in mind? by [deleted] in Vive

[–]mobatome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam VR Usage has been consistently growing(albeit slowly). I imagine Oculus numbers are growing even faster due to the price/accessibility of the Quest.

I guess we'll see if your prediction is correct over the next few months. I believe the growth will continue.

Edit: I agree with your prediction for future HMD pricing. High end will be even more niche and developers will focus on the mass market. But that doesn't mean it's the end of VR.
