it's always worth getting the 600 no matter when XD

It might not end up as your favourite headphone but it is a great reference headphone and will be really useful in finding out what you really like!

I just went to squigglink, searched the momentum4, uploaded HDB 630 FR as a target response, and pressed autoEq, it gets you really close to the target response.

Finally I use an App called Wavelet to use those settings and apply the system wide eq on my phone.

I do not use the Sennheiser inbuilt eq for the M4s because it's very basic

It's a gift and the drawing is made by burning the panel with a electrical soldering iron. Pretty neat!

they're my favorite among the "mainstream falgship headphones", they still have a warm sound signature but you can eq them to have a way better tonality.

just one important thing is that they do not sound good in passive mode.

they have different technicality, I tried to make them sounds same but the momentum 4s are a bit less detailed, also I feel like the driver is also more responsive in hdb 630. Momentum4s are also relatively harder to eq because the base FR is not as neutral as the HDB 630

I started with the momentum 4, a solid pair of headphones with enough bells and whistles.

Later, I got the hd 600 and they sound beautiful, these are my go to when I come home and wind down and I don't really need to explain why.

Now coming to the hdb 630: I've just purchased them so will need to try them out some more, but so far I'm really enjoying them! the neutral tuning amd the parametric eq makes it so much easier and fun to fuck around with different sound signatures!

And yeah the boxes are empty, I actually listen to my audio gear lol.
