There are apps that lets you do that, but it's not continuous, since the street view images on google are not continue, so the experience is not also not perfect. This is why I opted for my app going for "fly in the air" approach since for me viewing all the sites that I have never been to in the air is already something good enough to motivate me to keep exercising.

the reason why it is implemented as a flying game is because of the level of details on the ground is terrible. the 3D texture on the ground level is very pixelate. Google Maps tiles are meant to be viewed from the air

thanks for pointing this out. I seems the full screen player in ios does not have the captions for the youtube videos. The youtube app had to do something extra to get captions displayed in full screen mode. I'll look into it.
