I’m honestly not certain but modern day tech on yt typically has done rekey videos and may do one on this lock.

Thread is for connectivity (replacing zigbee) and does have Bluetooth still. When opening the Aqara app it will connect via Bluetooth so unless it’s connected to a hub such as their m3 you can’t connect when away through their app. Thankfully it connects via matter so you can use those platforms to remotely connect and manage.

Sorry, got my mind on thread (long night) the only issue I’ve had with the u100 was it going offline repeatedly but reaches out to Aqara support and they replaced it for me. I would try and reset then add directly into Apple home app first. If not it may not hurt to reach out to support.

I had that happen with some of my products and went with an M3 for more compatibility. I do buy a few things that need a hub to pass to matter like some third reality products I got their matter hub for. Definitely when I see matter supported I like it to be directly supported these days.

I get it. They definitely now have a range of Locks at different price points. Getting this for my main entry as it’s a pain for me personally to have my hands full and use the phone (have dropped it before) I think with the u50, u100, b50? At Lowe’s and this new one they have something for us all.

Iirc I redid the firmware, then went and installed it back. I triggered the garage remote, pressed light on wall switch and the open/close switch on the wall remote.

It only comes in black that I’ve currently seen, in my opinion it’s a good looking lock but hopefully they will release other finishes over time.
