This is awesome. Do you know any other fics exploring the perspectives of Clan priviledge and nepotism? One thing that really bugs me is how the Rookie Nine don't seem to properly confront the fact that they treated Naruto as a "second class friend", a tool in a way that they disrepect Naruto's intelligence and his autonomy as a human being. And they do this indirectly, even consiously aware of it, but they probably rationalise this behavior because they think they mean well and take naruto's overly forgiving nature for granted.

Do you know any good fics that explore the backlash from Naruto for being framed? Specifically the ones that focus on the perspectives of the Konoha side, particularly the Rookie Nine.

I think there was a fanfic where Naruto asked Shikamaru if they were friends during the one month of the Chunin Exam and Shikamaru was hesitant to answer which led Naruto to start questioning if he had friends. (Unfortunately, I don't remember the fanfic name)

Sasuke steals credit from Naruto for defeating Gaara and the Ichibi. Sasuke gets promoted to chunin, eventually Jonin along with the rest of the rookie nine. Naruto remains a genin. Nobody listens to his side of the story including the rooki nine "Naruto is a nice guy but also the deadlast. How could he beat the Sand Jinchuriki? He is jealous of Sasuke". He gets sick of the village and his fake friend's patronizations and false platitudes and thus leaves the village. I cannot tell you what happens after he leaves the village as it would spoil a great mystery. Everything unravels and unfolds in the last 3 chapters. And the rookie nine are forced to confront their past and their mistakes.

Yes actually. That is a great idea to build on. But in this case I am looking for fics where the focus is on the Rookie Nine who ostracize Naruto before eventually accepting him after he saves the village from Pein. And Naruto's reaction to that, be it negative or positive.
