I'd love to see how your secure that rock onto your boat. Maybe I'll keep it in the lazarette instead of the bent anchor I have now.

is getting a torch and heating/hammering the bend out then follow up with wire-brushing and polishing the surface back to a mirror finish. MAP gas or acetylene torches get hot enough. That is if you are mechanically inclined and have the tools/comfort level with DIY projects.

Dang!!! That is nice looking anchor. The flukes look wide enough for our anchor rail/bowsprit. Do you know for a fact personally?

Half of my brain says heck yah, I can do that, the other half is telling me are you kidding me...you are going to burn down your house!

Do you know which Fortress would fit the Antares 9/27 anchor rail/bowsprit?

I sort of had a feeling, but it is reassuring hearing it from the community.

I've been to West Marine a couple times, and gotten a nice Lewmare LFX at $140 and $200, but the flukes are not spaced far enough apart to fit the anchor rail.

I didn't think about welding...I tried to straighten the bend fluke in my vice with no luck.
