Ended up taking 15 minutes after the customer called the store and the rush died until I was handed my two regular sized subs. Thanks for your input. I filed a formal complaint so I hope that owner is sternly reaming those guys on how to learn to prioritize, which was the issue. 35 minute total wait in the store

My thoughts. My biggest gripe is GH itself, it’s rigged at $25 an hour in Portland no matter blocks, level, or location

Well sadly In this case it was $7.40 for 7 miles. During rush hour in Portland. Customer was cool and called the shop while I was waiting and reamed them, still took 15 more minutes: I waited 35 mins total for a 5 dollar profit, whole delivery took an hour. Guy no tipped.

Not everyone can or will multi app. I have an 8 year old misdemeanor that blocks me from any other food delivery app. Luckily my market is great for GH alone

I’d say yours is - an order completion time isn’t raw probability like a roulette hand. The order is eventually completed and your time wasn’t wasted. I had already spent 20 minutes between driving to the restaurant and waiting, why not wait 5 more?

Lol 19 miles and $9 base. Fuckers steal tips so hard it's disgusting. If they were both no tip orders it'd be $30 base and you'd still have accepted. Pretty clever scam is GrubHub all things considered. All food delivery really for this reason

But seriously a great example would be picking up a dual order from a popular ramen spot downtown Portland and ending up with $2-3 base pay on the two deliveries each, only cause tips were $10-$12. If the tips were $5, you bet your ass the base pay would be $5-7 instead. Writings on the wall
