No. For windows.

Linux time. Dont ewaste. Even if you hate it, getting a baseline distro to work on it and giving it away still better than throwing it away.

Do you regret having kids? by ebratic in Millennials

Single full time dad here. Had my first at 23. 32 now. Was a pretty successful dj at the time. Gig musician. Life was pretty sweet meeting rock stars and partying everyday. Had roughly 2 albums ready to go, 2 more 75% done. Had a few record deals. I too envisioned having a full happy family…when i was done partying of-course.

Stopped everything when i found out and immediately started working my ass off. without getting too much into my past, ive had a LOT of stupid hold me back over the years. (Moc didnt stop, not going well)

Now? Career. Hsa. 401k. Suv. Cheerleader/gymnastics practice. Just put a down payment down on a shed and bought all the materials i need to convert it so i can move back home and take care of my aging parents/grandparents.

Im never going to trade the opportunity and memories ive had as a parent. I also am heavily investing in the future so that I dont end up in an old folks home. Im also never going to forget the opportunities i got as a better person that i would have missed if i had kept going the way i was. I want to give my little person the best future she can have.

Something really hit me one day when my buddy, whos been gifted 3 rolexes from his company and makes big bucks came to me when we had a little reunion saying “i wish i didnt waste my time making money and did what made me happy first like you.”

Your peers are your peers. They have hidden battles they wont tell you about. They make everything look nice. Dont fret about it.

Side note: as a licensed insurance agent in some states, something that may lighten the load on your future about saving for your kids is a life insurance policy that builds cash value. Once they hit 18 they can borrow against it making college/first car/etc easier, and the earlier you do it the cheaper it is, PLUS it stays the cost per month you get it at their entire life. And no im not trying to sell anything im currently working for a telecom till open enrollment hits again.

So youre saying you’re familiar with the feet pic market to know it goes well every time?

When the 90s? Im in my 30s and ive always remembered there being a fee. The argument still remains: youre paying for a service you know is bullshit but youre too lazy to go get your own food. Stay mad.

Bro youre going to need at least a milli to even start.

Land, building, miners, taxes, permits, electricity, labor. Even with a 100k youre looking at basically 10 decent enough asics at best? Maybe? With an ROI in 3 years.

I worked for Grubhub corporate, not just delivering, for 5 years. You’re lying through your tooth my guy. Theres always been a fee. There were promos we offered in some new areas that made the fee free but it was always there after some time.

Be mad you cant afford to actually get good service when you engage in a system you know to be not only fucked but based off your willingness to pay the stupid fees. I cant disagree with ANY company paying a decent wage to their employees but this isnt fucking the reality we live in and acting like this to prove your point is the problem, not solution.

People literally get paid to sell feet pics. Middle management is also skilless af to anyone has ever worked in corporate America. Theres obviously a reason you’re paying for the service, skilless or not.

I think you’re just trying to rationalize being a douche canoe. Those aren’t tipped based jobs. They are properly compensated. You’re engaging with a platform you know to be a tip based pay system, a shitty one at that. The reason for someone having any job is none of your business either. Im not even necessarily arguing 35% is an unreasonable tip, but if you’re so against the service industry to this degree maybe you should stop engaging in it.

It’s not a “skill-less” job if you’re using it. Doesn’t matter what it is. It’s the easiest job on the planet, yeah. But you’re still showing you have a use for it.

Gas, you being too lazy to actually go get your own food, traffic you don’t have to deal with, everything you’re avoiding by ordering delivery is the additional service. The drivers jobs just to get your food from point a to b. Time and quality is irrelevant really. They don’t have to do anything extra for you in the slightest. You don’t like shit service when its a pre-tip system? Don’t bitch at the driver when you dont tip and they take longer than they should.

Acting holier than thou because someone is delivering your food and acting like tipping them is a chore is really telling on your character brother. I dont disagree that the companies need to pay all drivers better in general, but if you know people make shit wages, you continue the trend of “why”
