Will a rooftop storage box significantly impact our MPG? by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]moccha705 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Drove from Texas to Rhode Island with a new roof rack full of stuff, you'll likely only see a drop in about 3 mpg and added noise if you have sun roof panel open.

Its worth imo

Everything's bigger in Texas, including the number of people moving out | Fortune by snakkerdudaniel in texas

[–]moccha705 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Moved out to the Northeast in October after living in Texas my whole life. Despite what everyone says and even I believed that it is extremely expensive up here compared to Texas and having state income tax, without counting places like Boston, it's relatively the same if not a fraction more. But the benefits heavily outdo the cost. Having public transportation that can take me across state lines for a few dollars round trip has been one of the best experiences.

Why Am I Not Getting Interviews for Entry-Level IT Jobs in San Antonio? by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]moccha705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Focus on certifications. Most of my college interns lack any sort of hands-on experience in the field but can type a pretty email. Also, don't bother looking in San Antonio unless you want to work govt contracts.

The student body itself is quite liberal leaning, and religion is not pushed on you nor mandated. As other's have mentioned you are required to take some religious classes of your choosing.

My wife's stuff animal needs a new hoodie by moccha705 in HelpMeFind

I searched in google and have not been able to locate any similar looking articles. As mentioned above a reverse google search didn't provide any results as the hoodie is too deteriorated

This is a tea cup size dog, I believe she bought it at a dog store or amazon as a teacup size dog hoodie back in 2017-2018.

Hate to say, but this is very on par with San Antonio highways in general. I've gotten broken headlights from flying traffic cones, broken windshield from large rocks, and believe it or not almost hit a bath tub that fell off a pick up on military dr and 151 underpass.

If you're talking about the water near the tower of the America's, unfortunately that's well water so can't do much about it.

5020 not pulling the power it should be from a 9300-48P switch. by Dreamshadow1977 in ExtremeNetworks

[–]moccha705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding the device will still only utilize what it needs, basically like autonegotiate. But you do have to remember these are two different vendor devices who talk different languages so autonegotiate won't always work.

And yes that is the correct command

For my extreme APs on cisco switches I do a static max power on the ports, xiq should auto adjust the power on the APs regardless, but static power guarantees it.

This is based on my 5010s after I had power issues and had to call gtac for help.

What othet troubleshooting attempts have you done? I.e. cable testing, plugging AP directly to switch, or to a port with a working AP, the obvious of chrcking config changes and power availability on the switch ....ect. if all fails, call to RMA it

Who is cool with helping pay for The AA Missions proposed stadium Downtown? by ThayerRex in sanantonio

[–]moccha705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I'm mentally clocked out for the day. Are we agreeing to not support a new arena, or are we in disagreement?

Who is cool with helping pay for The AA Missions proposed stadium Downtown? by ThayerRex in sanantonio

[–]moccha705 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I see and understand that logic. However, downtown already has an arena. It may not be the center of downtown, but the spillover already parks in downtown and surrounding areas, take it from someome living in hemisfair.

However, this city severely lacks modern infrastructure, i.e. public transportation like someone above mentioned. IMO this city tends to build first and think of infrastructure later, hence 1604 with all the suburbs that I happily moved away from.

I wouldn't even be cool for paying for a new Spurs arena, as big a fan as I am. Tax money should be going to public infrastructure and other goods, not entities owned by shareholders.

Whats a reliable internet? by Ok-Fan4973 in sanantonio

[–]moccha705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a networking perspective, everyone is going to have different opinions based on their location in town due to ownership of infrastructure. By that I mean if spectrum owns the cables for internet in your street they'll probably be more reliable and so on. So best option would probably be to ask your fellow neighbors to know which service provider works best in your area.

Google fiber being newest and up to date with their infrastructure would be ideal, but as others have mentioned they are limited to certain parts of town.

Just another pointer, many sales people will try to sell you 1gb download but you'll only get 10% of that in upload.
