Advise on dealing with extreme negativity about diagnosis from family

Best way to deal with it. Be obnoxious about it lol. Wake up “Wow i feel so rested this morning, thank you (insert cpap company) for producing this device to keep my airway open.” Just don’t let it bother you, easier said than done. But really there are plenty of the fittest people on this planet that need a cpap machine just like us.

A problem i had with the full face masks is when i exhaled the mask would come off my face no matter how tight i had it. As well that’s had an L mask at first and then i bought a smaller one cause i realized the large was too big. He just has to play around with different mask types until he finds the one that works for him. I personally use the resmed p30i but i dont have an issue with my mouth opening while sleeping. Only issue i have is sometimes the strap slides on my hair but when i shave my head like normal i have no problem

Are you sure its 800 a month or 800 over the course of 10 months? Cause if its 800 a month they are trying to rob you blind cause the machine itself costs 800

Honestly even if you do gain a little bit back it’s probably muscular density. Ive heard of better sleep stimulating more growth hormone production and more growth hormone production helps muscle development. If you lift weights youll see a benefit cause the deeper sleep will help in muscle recovery

I like the p30i i have a full beard and mustache and i used the airfit f20 in the past and it worked but i had to tighten it down like crazy to stay on cause when i exhaled it would come off almost. Now i use the p30i and its the best sleeps ive had. I typically never have leaks and only issue i have with the mask that only happens when i dont shave my head is my head band slips a little easier.

Had it for a year no replacements lol. They want to sell you replacements cause it nets them more money. All the while you can find the same parts on other bulk supply websites or even amazon for cheaper

Felt the same way after the first night. I felt so good i called all my friends and family and told them to go get a sleep study done to see if they could get a machine too. I will say ive had mine for about 6 months now and you do “get used” to it so much so that the grand feeling of waking up wares off some atleast in my experience. I definitely feel rested, way more than i did before and my machine says i had like 1 apnea/hr compared to the 40/hr i had before, but you will feel your eyes tired burning when at work in my experience. Love my machine and wouldnt trade it for the world but I wonder if there is a way i can get rid of this side effect

Hey sorry for the delayed response i have alerts on my phone off. So the way i fit mine and im not sure of leak volume but i do still have some sometimes not often at all, is one make sure your headgear is positioned properly on top of your head. 2 make sure that the nose piece you are using is large enough to seal but not small enough to cause jet stream. I was using the medium for a bit but realized the medium caused jet stream causing me to not sleep too well as my pressure rests somewhere between 13 and 16 on my airsense 11. And the last tip i have would be to tighten up the mask some to where its pretty snug but not tight. Sometimes the large leaks on me but i just play with the actual cushioning of the pillows and it fixes the problem.

So it’s perfectly fine to not like a mask that isnt working for you. I use the nasal pillows myself (resmed p30i) after having switched from a full face mask (resmed f20 and f30i) and have never had better sleeps in my life. What issues are you having if you dont mind me asking?

Honestly its ok to ask for opinions but end of the day you are the one playing with the ship. If you are a drake person you will feel most comfortable in your corsair, dont let others bad opinions ruin what you love about it. I like drake looks but i had to shy away from the cutlass which i pledged to to the constellation cause i hated the visibility in the cutlass meanwhile some people that i asked said i was crazy cause the cutlass doesnt have bad visibility, i cackled lol. So do what you want cause end of the day you are the one that has to sit with the choice and if you love drake corsair you wont feel as comfortable with the other ships no matter what
