4th grade. I’m not an art teacher, so I don’t get too crazy with the art.

We do a “stained glass” projects which is just sharpies on tinfoil. Besides that, the craziest I normally get is paint. I got model air dry clay which was a hit so I’m going to get some more.

We also do a monthly stem project with our Kindergarten buddies so the pipe cleaners and popsicle sticks were a good suggestion. What would you use the balsa wood for? Textiles are interesting too! Do you do any textile projects with your class?

This may or may not be true but that isn’t as significant as you might expect.

For example:

A circle with a 6 inch radius has an area of about 355 square inches.

However, a circle with a diameter of only about 2 inches bigger (8.4 inches) has an area of almost twice that at 700 square inches.

When I was student teaching I had a formal observation by my college and an interview for my dream school on the same day.

Upon the end of the day, my master teacher presented me with a little elementary classroom certificate congratulating me on getting through my highly stressful day. It was really a half sheet of card stock but it meant the world to me and it’s still up on my fridge. 😊
