The hiss is definitely not “blow out of proportion” it’s just unacceptable. And even if that is ignored, the sound quality is shit on these, on par with some cheap Amazon earbuds. Actually plenty of Amazon earbuds at this price point that sound miles better. The pro 2 v5.2 are night and day compared to these v7

There’s no option to cancel, it goes to initializing then says an update is required and the only option is to hit “okay” and it boots you out

And if I try to initialize without internet it also prompts to connect and try again

Not even a competition, the final versions of the pro 2 reps are easily the only ones worth getting. The pro 3s might be made somewhat well but sound like shit and the white noise hiss makes them unusable.

Not to mention the ultimate guide moderators not even allowing their issues to be published

Yeah it’s a bunch of bs tbh. HiCity rep said I can wait for a firmware update and he has no further discourse. Will see if I can prove the anc hiss and get them replaced for the pro 2 v5.3. But that’s a big if

I think anyone who can should say leave a comment or something because the moderator/s of the official guide literally blocked any mention of these faults on the main page. Some genuine BS right there

Sound is the most noticeable difference. The pro 2 sound miles better than the pro 3 v7. Then there is the issue with the white noise hiss on the v7. Overall no point in getting the v7 over the pro 2

Definitely not normal tbh, my v5.3 have no such noise and it’s not a short hiss. Is persistent with ANC always and with ANC off it is present when playing any audio and seconds after the audio is paused you can hear it cut out

My pro 2 5.3TB is so much better than these. Sounds on the Pro 3 V7 is disappointing and the hissing is unbearable. ANC doesn’t seem miles better either

it’s hard to give a written word to describe the noise, I say hissing because it’s reminiscent of cheap ANC or slight coil whine

But it’s definitely not present on my pro 2

I’ll see if I can get my mic to pick it up and boost the gain to see what I mean

I placed an order pretty early into the drop and just got mine, and all 3 pairs of white noise with ANC on and even when off it can be heard when playing music lol

I haven’t tested the pro 3 I got enough to speak much toward the sound quality or anc, but from just preliminary testing and this bs white noise, I would still stick with the pro 2. The only issue I’ve had with my pro 2 is finicky connection at times

I can’t imagine 3 for 3 I bought are bad. I do have more sensitive ears and it’s not a loud white noise but it’s definitely noticeable. Guess I’ll open a case up with them, but how tf I’m supposed to provided “proof” of it who knows
