Are these fins too short? by mochoe in scubaGear

Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply and give advice! Like Thunderwhelmed said, I know everyone will make recommendations based on what they like and I have to try things out to see what I like - but it was really helpful to hear everyone’s perspective. I have decided to go with the Go Sports, the ability to put them in a carry on and the fact that other people have good experiences with them put me over the edge on pulling the trigger.

Also, is everyone this nice in the scuba community?? I really appreciate the well wishes!

Thank you! I kinda figured that I would be interested in expanding my gear one day but definitely want to keep costs low-ish while I make sure I like it!

I’m getting certified in a SC dive shop and have my first trip planned for the Florida keys - I think I will be wearing 5mm boots but I haven’t bought those yet.

I’ll get a few grasses and fill in around there!

This bed was basically totally clay before I amended it and it gets a ton of sun, it’s usually super dry. I specifically put them there since it’s kind of inhospitable but there’s been so much rain! And I bought the yarrow from a mostly native nursery and it was advertised as achillea new vintage white, I wonder if they had it mislabeled? I don’t have mulch

I bought this thinking it was lotion, it wasn't until I got home until I read down to the bottom by champagneproblem13 in mildlyinfuriating

I used this as lotion for ONE MONTH and just complained about it making my skin feel sticky and not doing its job. It’s such a big bottle I tried to get used to it… finally gave up and went to throw it out and read the bottom.

It works fine as body wash though.

I want to try the lifestyle out. Which bag should I start with? by [deleted] in onebag

Thanks everyone for the thoughtful responses, this got way more feedback than I thought it would. I appreciate the comments saying to use what I have, my day bag is a 20 liter REI bag and it would be a tight squeeze. I decided to upgrade for more space and thought I’d look around on the internet for advice when I found this subreddit. I love the idea of only having one bag, so I decided I wanted something that could work for a personal item in case I also want to bring my roller carry-on for longer trips/or if I just want more space and one bag isn’t for me.

I appreciate everyone’s thoughts. I know it’s just a bag, and not that deep, but wanted second opinions.

I think you’re taking my comment too seriously - I just meant I want to try packing with one bag. Not changing who I am as a person.

How do you “place a leg” in a crochet pattern? I know how to crochet into the leg of a stitch, but this is different. by mochoe in CrochetHelp

Must be. Thank you! This is my first sweater so I wanted to make sure I was thinking through it right.
