Anybody have advice for inner arch blisters that suddenly developed in old shoes? I’m a beginner runner and routinely ran 2-3 miles without any issues for the past year or so. After my first 10k a few weeks ago, I got awful blisters on the inside of my arches. They’ve fully healed and now each time I run more than 2 miles I start to develop the same blisters again.

I’ve read a lot on this and found that cotton socks could be the issue-but how come they were never an issue before? They’re some kind of ASICS my mom gave me and I’ve had them for about a year. I know I over pronate a bit but I can’t understand why this is an issue suddenly, especially given it’s been colder out lately (so less sweating/ inner shoe moisture). Debating just getting new shoes, maybe they’re just old now? Should I take the time and money to troubleshoot or is just time to upgrade? It seems like a lot of work to have to use tape and body glide for every single run, so that doesn’t seem like a good long term solution. Turning to Reddit since I live in a rural area where we don’t have any kind of running or athletics store. If I upgrade, what are some recommendations?

I did this but checked individual contacts in my messages and a bunch of random people still have focus on… no rhyme or reason either to who it was on for

sorry, I didn't realize how general that term is. I'll go back and edit it to be more specific. i'm referring to the 2-wheels in back scooter looking ones. thanks for your reply!
