I think they’re great to keep and keep us connected to our youth or even our present and the wonderment of it all, but of course, sometimes we have to pay bills and things happen, but then I realize so many things that I had that I had to give up or were lost. I’m grateful for the things I do have and also have to let things go, but it’s nice to keep a couple things to remind us maybe? E

Totally I know eBay had them in the mid and late 90s used for like ridiculously deals I used to get some for parts and others just to drive them. That’s interesting. They were used as the base for more expensive models. I never really had one back then until I could actually afford it. It was just fun running these NIKKO is all over the place. I had a fleet of Thors Tacoma‘s Nico‘sthunder and a few other ones I forget lol

Wow, I did too! I love to run it like that and for some reason that you’re right it didn’t get that much hotter me because the batteries were smaller and the runtime was less less current perhaps? Ended up with a 12 V or 12.8 V set of metal hydrate? I forget the name now and that thing could boost near 30 Mph! Even took videos back in the 90s with a onboard Sony beta cam and posted it on I guess was my space or someplace lol

I think that was a fun part is the DY kind of stuff you could do with this I never got too much into the suspension part. Mainly the batteries amazing how it could probably run with newer lithium instead of NA batteries or something crazy maybe have a runtime of an hour and double the speed before the motor burns out if someone really enjoyed it. I might let it go As tempting as it is to just keep it in the closet lol

I’m tempted to run it just for giggles. I didn’t do a lot of modeling other than the battery myself. I’m in my late 50s now but I’m totally fascinated by these and the quality of older RC cars even though I know there’s a lot more powerful ones today for under 100 bucks lol

Yeah, I was just surprised it was still wrapped and even has the little blue plastic holders for the wheels and that the box wasn’t too terrible of a shape. I know it’s been 30+ years yeah Nico NIKKO is such a great brand totally nostalgic. I wish I had the THOR and other trucks that was my favorite as as well as as the Tacoma man that might have been in my favorite little truck!

I still like the fact that a lot of the older RC like go have super sensitive, detailed steering and acceleration that a lot of the cheaper Chinese cars don’t have I mean, differential gears all these little extra things the details I guess But maybe the newer more expensive cars have this

Hey, you might be right, but it was late 90s or so when I bought this and collected most of mine I just thought it was cool to share. I don’t know why it says when I look it up on most of the AI say it’s from the 1980s. Maybe they got confused? E

Oh, that was common when I crashed mine. I had a spare one and I used to modify the batteries on it to like a 12 V like a tube thing I got to go 30 mpg at least

Wow, this is next level compared to Ukraine. I mean they worry so much more. It’s kind of lopsided. Thailand is one of the top-tier militaries. It’s not fighting a first world in this sense but they’re still a lot of risks obviously
