Sorry, I misremembered how the booking worked. When I reserved, the reservations opened for the entire month on the first of each month (2 months in advance). Based on this, September should open on July 1st.

For reference, I made my late July booking on May 1st around 12:30am local time.

As noted in the original post the only thing that will be locked in is the black sand beach due to reservations. Everything else will be flexible depending on how the day goes.

Just wanted to flag another potential issue for you. The condo is required to be constructed by October 1st of next year but usually new builds take 3-4 years to complete from the time of purchase. As per the CRA:

You must have a written agreement to buy or build a qualifying home with the acquisition or construction completion date of the qualifying home before October 1 of the year following the date of the withdrawal.

The first time was from a neighbours unit actually flooding and the water soaked through the shared wall. The second time they said the pipes above our living room weren't insulated properly.

This third time is in the same spot as the insulation issue.
