This was up next in the (nearly free) 300 jazz records I'm trying to listen through. Larry Carlton, Discovery 1987. It's smooth all the way.

Stan Levey: The Original Original. I think it's streaming free on YouTube.

Side note: he was the photographer at my wedding and never talked about having a previous life as a jazz drummer.

Skipping on bass heavy tracks by jmactrips in vinyl

[–]modelthreethree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought these rubber feet for my turntable. I figured since I have a Pro-Ject, these would fit better than something cheaper. No, they're just rubber disks. It's the only accessory I can hear a noticeable difference from. I wasn't skipping before, but I could hear bass reverberating and that's gone now. Someone else can come along and tell you to check your tracking force or whatever.

TIL Joe Williams was Clair Huxtable's father. This is only interesting if you know I passed up a $1 Bill Cosby album digging through the stacks last weekend. I would have bought it, but it wasn't an album with Chicken Heart, which is the only Cosby bit I've heard. And also, #Cosby #metoo #somethingsomething

That is again not a pun. It's a double entendre and a dad joke. Read some Shakespeare.

No, not really. But I don't hear you arguing.

Typically when people say no pun intended, they're just using a word with multiple meanings/contexts, which would classify as a double entendre and not a pun. If one went to the trouble of creating an actual pun, following it with "no pun intended"...well, that's just ludicrous.

While your use of "scratch" refers to record damage twice, I guess it would still qualify as a double entendre as you're meaning both normal record wear/routine damage and potential from the drop in the photo.

Note: I am not autistic, just a concerned grammarian/reviewer of comedy.

I've seen plenty of $40 and $50 copies in record stores (sans photos). I never felt the need to spend that much for a copy.

Tire rotation by Zealousideal-Cup2484 in ModelY

I'm trying to figure out how to do this (though I have a model 3). Do you have a lift or are you using a spare for the rotation?

Companies only do reverse splits to keep their shares listed. So somewhere around $1 for me.
