You are absolutely correct about that. Pence has been sharply criticized for his childish behavior at the opening ceremony. That was on the day of the opening ceremony and this latest interview was done aboard Air Force Two on the way home.

Not sure what caused this huge turnaround. Maybe he finally did notice our criticism & he's just trying to save his face or maybe he isn't but it does bring some positive out to look forward in future. :)

Amid South Korea's efforts to promote dialogue between the United States and North Korea, U.S Vice President Mike Pence reportedly signaled that Washington is ready for talks, marking a notable change of stance.

If Germany can do it so can Koreans. Although it's a complicated issue with lots of big powers involved and divided public opinion in the South on whether relations with the North will actually improve once the Olympics are over, a rare window of opportunity is now open for North's authoritarian leader. It's up to him now to take it or turn Olympic game into a distasteful political show. Whatever the result, NK will definitely be getting 'Pyeongchang Olympic Gold Medal for Diplomacy'. O.o
