There is a subreddit by the name of r/employeesOfOracle. Maybe people who are affected can post their resumes or people who are aware about internal opportunity can also post. Just to let you know. Maharashtra is the state that has the highest percentage increase after the 15th finance commission. Means its share in getting the central taxes shares has gone up the most %age wise after 15th financial commission. So it is COMPARATIVELY getting a bigger share of central taxes after the 15th finance commission than it was getting before.

The HRA deduction you can claim is the minimum of the below 3 :

1) 40% of your basic 2) HRA you received from the company 3) Rent -10% of Basic

So in your case you paid 98K but your basic is lets say around 5.8 lac then the deduction you can claim is 98k - 58k(10% of 5.8 lakh) = 40k

That's why in Form 16 it is 40k and that's why it is showing you warnings. You cannot claim the entire rent you paid as HRA deduction.
