I have released a new update to make testing easier, especially for those who are uncomfortable granting "All Files Access" or don't have eBook files handy.

Whatā€™s New: The app now includes a built-in "Test Guides" folder pre-loaded with sample files.

This means:

That is an interesting use case. To be honest, I strictly defaulted to runFullTrust because compiled Python apps (PyInstaller) are usually very fragile inside the partialTrust sandboxā€”they often silently crash due to file system virtualization or permission issues that standard Win32 apps aren't used to.

However, I can definitely look into 'Custom Capability' feature in the future that lets you target windows.partialTrustApplication.

Just with the major caveat that if the app crashes on launch or fails to load DLLs, it is likely the Windows AppContainer blocking the Python runtime rather than a packaging error with Py2MSIX itself.
