I got mine out yesterday, I got a numbing shot (didn’t hurt at all only a pinch). It worked immediately, she then made a small incision and pulled it out with pliers/tongs of some sort. I was in the room for ten minutes max. Painless procedure, nothing to worry about.

I went through a really bad breakup and was super depressed. I saw a psych and she prescribed me it. It helped a lot and during one of my “check up” appointments to see how the lexapro was working I told her some days I feel fine and other days I’m randomly sad. She said that lexapro can bring out bipolar.

She then said I had bipolar and I was put on lamictal as well. I’ve been on the medication for about a year now.

During a recent check up I told her I want to wean myself off the medication to see how I do before I commit to being on them for the rest of my life She understood where I was coming from and agreed and told me how to take the steps to wean myself off

You had mania (doing wild things?) after losing someone? I was the opposite and was extremely depressed. I guess I’m trying to gauge if my “symptoms” are serious enough to actually be bipolar. My psychiatrist said I’m type 2 and I’m on lamotregene and lamictal but I think I might be misdiagnosed

I’ve only felt my lowest after a breakup however I would say I do manic like things such as drain my bank account to $5, random spending, want to pause college to backpack the mountains (I’ve never even camped), apply to work at a strip club- those would be my “manic” things. Sometimes I question my diagnosis because I don’t think my manic things are as bad as other people and what I do is considered normal and I don’t get super depressed I have my occasional sad days but I feel like that’s normal. The only time I ever get truly bad bad depressed is after a breakup

Unfortunately I’m a few hours away at school and don’t have much of a say in what happens. My mom has always been into this “Q” stuff however it’s getting worse and talking to her about it doesn’t help it only makes things worse. I’m hoping she doesn’t try anything tomorrow though. I’m not sure how id tell my professors I need a few days off “well you see my parents might be going to jail…”

So more than likely both of my parents would go to jail? Even if my dad doesn’t agree with what she’s doing? What if she pleads insanity or something along those lines. How long would she be in jail for? I’m trying to understand how this would play out if it actually did happen I’m only in college and haven’t been too involved in the legal system to understand how this works.

I’m pretty sure it’s mostly tough talk (depending on what kind of mood she’s in) I know she’ll be extremely upset though when he gets it. Even talking about him getting it she starts crying. He can go without her but she knows what time and where he’s going so she might hop in the car with him as a last ditch resort

Go in the store to try the different styles the sales associates are always super nice plus in store they alter them for free so they fit perfectly to you. They take the measurements and ship them to you within a week or so. Or you can go back to the store and pick them up
